We contacted Rod three months before our wedding, and he had few available dates that fitted our timeframe. From the first meeting, we had the feeling we found what we were looking for, Rod guided us in choosing the material, size and polishing style of our wedding rings. The workshop itself was very instructive and was held in a cozy and friendly environment. Rod was very professional in guiding us through each step. The communication before and after the workshop was clear and quick, with an absolute transparency when it came to costs and timings (delivery, hallmarking and engraving). We are really happy with the result, both in terms of the ring and the experience itself. Having realized the rings with secondhand materials is a bonus. We highly recommend the workshop; it was everything we were looking for.
My wife and experienced the silver ring making workshop recently. I have to say it was a lovely evening, we were there with 2 other people and we all got on well, Roderick was a great tutor, the information and explanation given was clear and he is very easy to get along with, putting us all at ease, letting us get on with things but also there to help if need be. Really enjoyed it, the process, the learning and of course the rings too! Would absolutely recommend - fab experience!

He really took the time to go through with us what we wanted for our rings, and the whole experience felt so personal and relaxed. My Fiancee and I recently attended a wedding ring workshop at Roderick's and it was an amazing experience, from start to finish. Before the workshop, we learned about the different types of metals, settings, and styles available for wedding rings. The workshop was hands-on, and we got to use real tools and materials to create our rings. Rod was patient and attentive, and helped us every step of the way. He made sure that we understood the process and that we were happy with our work before we moved on to the next step. The final product was beautiful, and I was amazed at how professional and polished our rings looked. We came across Roderick at the Frome Independent market only couple of months before our wedding date. We had planned to buy our rings from elsewhere but when we found that Roderick offered a ring making workshop we knew we had to do that instead. The workshop was such an amazing day. Roderick is a great teacher and his workshop is wonderful. It was so interesting to learn about the processes involved in making a ring as well as the experience of hammering our own gold into shape. I would 100% recommend doing the wedding ring making workshop with Roderick!
We had the most lovely afternoon in Rods workshop. Was a fantastic experience and opportunity to be able to make our own wedding rings, loved being in the workshop and Rod explained everything really well and guided us through the process so it was fun and interesting rather than stressful! We learned a lot during the process, and we are very much looking forward to receiving the rings back after their trip to the assay office, for hallmarking. It is such a wonderful way to have unique meaningful wedding rings and such a pleasure to work with Rod. We would highly recommend this to anyone!
We made our wedding rings with Rod and he was great! Friendly and professional. He really knew his stuff and managed to answer all our questions! The final rings we just what we wanted. We cannot recommend Rod's jewellery making workshop enough - and it doesn't matter if you have no prior jewellery making experience (we didn't!). Rod makes the session incredibly fun and professionally guides you through every step of the process and you will be amazed at what you can create within the two hours. Very good value for money!
