I first tried Ghales Cafe a few years ago, I'm not from the Wolverhampton area, but when I'm passing through, I like to stop off for a quick bite. It quickly became a favourite of mine, when I'm passing I go in every few months, I always find the staff friendly and helpful, the cafe has a comfortable setting, warm atmosphere and high cleanliness levels, I tend to visit during the lunch time period, which is always the busier time, the staff have always taken my order quickly and food has been served accordingly. One of my favourite dishes is the Moroccan Eggs with chips. I usually get a drink with my food and sometimes I've had the tea served with biscuits. Everything I've ordered has always been served on point. Hope to visit again soon.

Been twice in as many weeks, but a few times in general. Love the menu options, service is quick considering the small kitchen..coffee excellent, food always good. What's not to like? Worth making an effort, park at the Chestnut and walk across. Simple!

I’ve visited Latuske’s and Ghales many times over the years and have always found the food and service to be exceptional. Unfortunately, today (17.10.25) was quite different. The lady at the front (blonde hair) appeared disinterested and was, frankly, rather rude. Usually, customers are greeted warmly or at least acknowledged with a quick “I’ll be with you in a moment,” but today there was no acknowledgment at all — both myself and another customer waited before eventually going up to the counter to order. While waiting to place my order at the counter, the staff member was openly complaining to a colleague about not wanting to clean something, which came across as unprofessional, particularly in front of customers. A few tables were left uncleared for quite some time, even though the afternoon rush had passed and were only tidied once most people had left. Then it felt as though there was a rush to close up — another new customer even asked whether the café was shutting (this was an hour and a half before advertised closing time) I completely understand that everyone can have an off day, but a simple smile or polite acknowledgment goes a long way in a customer-facing role. It’s disappointing, as this café usually sets such a high standard of service, and I’m sure the owner wouldn’t have allowed this to slip. That said, the food and drinks were excellent and arrived quickly, which I really appreciated. It’s just unfortunate that the poor service today overshadowed what is usually a lovely experience.

It’s that good that I’ve been twice within a few days…Friday and back again today! Lux cheese on toast is the best I’ve ever tried. Last time I had it with chips which are an unusual shape but cooked to perfection, taste lovely and great for dipping! Today I had it on its own with the sweet chilli sauce dip, as it’s still very filling. Always great service, when going on a one hour lunch break you need to make sure you can get in, order and eat and back to work again on time-the lovely lady even said we can call ahead in future to order to save even more time, although we have found we have ample time on the occasions we have been even with it being busy. Nice place to meet up with friends and catch up over a coffee and cake or lunch.

My partner came in today and ordered a coffee with oatmilk as my newborn son who is breast fed has a dairy allergy. After a couple of sips it was obvious to her that it was made with normal cows milk. When she asked the lady who made it she was absolutely adamant she made it with oatmilk. My partner didnt want to risk drinking anymore so left the rest of it. Anyway, upon returning home my son had a feed and 30 minutes later he has had an allergic reaction! A rash on his face, chesty, wheezy, churning stomach, green poo with specks of blood and then vomited. We called 111 and the paramedics confirmed it is an allergic reaction to something. He is now on the way to new cross hospital in an ambulance! This is now a very serious situation and i will be reporting this to the food standards agency!

What a fantastic cafe, we came for Sunday brunch and were not disappointed, the menu has something for everyone. The coffee was great and if its just coffee and cake you are after then this is your place. We booked and with a party of 6 that was a good idea. The staff are lovely and the food is spectacular . Enjoy!

Second time here now for the full English breakfast. Good portion size and cooked well. Constructive feedback would be to ask if you want your toast buttered. Also as it's family run and the owner(s) are visible, they could be a bit more welcoming with a simple hello/morning and goodbye.

Had the bottomless brunch with my sister. Excellent value for money. We had mimosas and a beautiful carbonara with garlic bread and salad from the specials. One of the best meals I’ve ever had- top restaurant quality. Excellent service, friendly staff. One of my favourite places to eat and drink at.
