Our room was fantastic! Even the older kids enjoyed the games in the room. It overlooked the animals, which was such a nice touch. The beds were really comfortable, it was quiet at night, and the bathroom was a good size with soft towels and quality toiletries.

I donβt usually leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share this. Upon arriving in the room, I found a used plaster stuck to the side of the bathtub β absolutely unacceptable. It immediately raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the hotel. While the rest of the room appeared okay at first glance, this discovery completely ruined my comfort and trust in the space. Itβs basic housekeeping to ensure bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned, and finding something like this makes me question what else might have been overlooked. This is not what I expected for the price we paid. Management seriously needs to review their cleaning procedures and ensure quality checks are actually being done before guests arrive. I wonβt be returning.

What a lovely hotel set overlooking looking animals! You can go into the wanyama bit after the park closed which was great and lovely to see the animals when it was quiet - the porcupines are just too cute! We had a monkey temple room which was such a nice treat with a view of the wanyama. We sat watching ostrich and giraffe in the morning and evening. It was lovely. We had a couple of drinks in the bar - usual Β£8 a pint as per other Merlin attractions. Room was immaculate, with comfy beds and air con which was fantastic given how hot it was the weekend we were there. We didn't eat in this hotel - we had breakfast next door which was lovely and a great choice buffet. We also did take away from next door hotel in the evening - however - if you didn't book a table you should try and get a table on the bar or terrace with a qr code as then you can access that menu! Other than that it's a limited takeaway menu - we had wings and a portion of chips which were lovely and sufficient. No visible gluten free offerings and we chose not to ask. We know from other Merlin parks that the sausages at breakfast typically contain it so avoided those. Check in was quick and effortless, as was check out. Pop your registration on the booking then the gate recognises you. Either way grab a ticket from reception on leaving to ensure no bother at the gate. We would definitely have this style of room in the hotel again on a future visit. First but unlikely to be last visit it was that much fun!

We stayed at Azteca Hotel Friday to Sunday for two nights. The monkey themed room was clean and spacious enough. Our room overlooked the theme park and we could see the penguins from the window -cute! Check in was ok, we used the self check in and got our keys from the machine. Iβd definitely recommend a short stay just for the experience. There is a treasure hunt for the little ones which wasnβt easy to solve so we rang Reception who were really helpful in helping us solve the code. Breakfast is included and the Temple Buffet was amazing with loads of yummy food (pancakes and pastries to name a few). there were not many vegan options apart from some vegan sausages and hash browns. But plenty of fruits - yum! They also had soy and oat milk. Please pre-book your breakfast. We also went to the swimming pool which wasnβt huge but the splash pool had a slide that was fun. Being able to access the rides an hour ahead of the public definitely added to the exclusivity. Be mindful that food is very expensive throughout the Resort and Park. Just a bottle of water costs Β£3 so bring snacks and drinks along.

I recently stayed at the Chessington Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is ideally located right next to the theme park, which made it incredibly convenient for getting to and from the attractions without any hassle. The room itself was clean, tidy, and well-presented, which added to the comfort of our stay. We also found the food to be very tasty and well-prepared, with a good variety available for both dinner and breakfast. However, there were a couple of areas that could be improved. Firstly, we found the food prices to be quite high, especially considering itβs a family-oriented hotel. While the quality was good, the cost might be a bit steep for some guests. Secondly, there was some confusion around booking a table for breakfast β there wasn't a clear explanation provided at check-in or in the room, which made the process a bit frustrating. Despite these minor issues, I would still recommend the Chessington Hotel for families visiting the theme park.

Very nice overnight stay in monkey-themed room with wanayama view. Staff are very nice and helpful. We enjoyed savanna splash, hot tub and sauna facilities. Buffet breakfast is standard. The hotels are not huge, hopefully the instructions can be improved, from pre-book swimming experience (was given a link without such option and no one picks up the phone. Email sent and replied with canned response to refer to the same link) to signpost and time allowed for access to zoo. Highly recommend it is a great experience.

Excellent 2 night stay at Azteca Hotel & 1 day in Chessington! Had a standard Monkey Temple room looking over Amazu. Checked in online & staff were very welcoming to help issue keys on arrival, via key collection screen. Room was lovely & clean, great theaming. Window which opened a little, easy to use air conditioning which was essential when it was 28degs outside. Quiet and temp to 19degs which felt quite cold. Kettle, tea & coffee. Staff are more than happy to provide extra milk if you run out. Fridge under the desk was really handy. Not sure all rooms have this & was a nice surprise. TV had most usual freeview channels & TV in kids bedroom area too. Kids bunks also had a third pull out bed. WiFi was very good compared to other places weβve stayed at. We ate at the Safari restaurant, lovely with views into the Wanyama area β spot the zebras, ostriches or giraffes! You can also walk around the area & thereβs a small kids playground. Ensure you book the restaurant online in peak season. Buffet breakfast was a hot selection (eggs, sausages, beans) , cereals, pain choc, fruit & toast with a selection of jams. Staff were on hand and very helpful. Dinner was fine, it was mainly tea for the kids, bit slow to be served, but food was nice. Hotel guests have access to Chessington park queuing from 8.45am via Azteca gate just by the Temple restaurant. Staff let you in from 9am with ticket and bag checks. A selection of rides are open for guests between 9-10am. We preorderd a photo digipass and found it great for a whole day of ride pics. Activate it at the first photo booth you use, where theyβll issue you a QR for the rest of the day. Azteca Gate closes at 10am, so return to the hotel is via Lodge Entrance. In the evening Amazu play area is open at 6pm until 7 or 8pm. The park will always be very busy over the Summer, the staff were doing their very best to keep things moving and up and running asap if there were any technical problems. Download the app to view ride times and plan what rides are most important. Dragon Fury and Vampire were queuing before 10am. Have fun!

The Aztec Hotel was good value for money. Check in was not until 3pm but I checked in via my phone and got a text when the room was ready. We got our keys printed and headed in with our bags around 1 pm. The space was slightly smaller than previously stayed in Safari hotel but overall decor well suited for the theme. Main bed was comfortable and lots of room in the children's bed. Unfortunately not alot of storage for the children's clothing to be stored. Wardrobe area with limited hanging space - ask for extra hangers if they allow. Iron and ironing board is provided- which is helpful. Hairdryer is also included in the room. The room came with separate TV's in each room , a locked safe in the children's room and a small yet very useful fridge in the main room. The bathroom was clean with a nice deep tub to soak in. It has a rain head shower as well as a detachable on. Bath mat and towels were provided and replace by staff if needed. The cleaning staff were very good and replace towels and linen daily. Hoovered and replace complimentary shampoo and conditioner. Only Negative I would mention is although the room was good there were still some small work to be done. The ceiling was patchy from filling it and painting one patch at a time ( had to be a good 14 spots redone) some the paint and plaster was chipping off in the bathroom but very minor., It didn't effect our stay and overall was a great experience for some R&R after a fun filled day. Downstairs is the buffet style restaurant- Temple Bar which had plenty of food - Carvery and in the morning - Full English & Continental plus extras.

Text message or email sent with check in available. So thats very easy. Temp check and band given. Keys allocated via a touch screen. Room very clean and great. With an added surprise for the children. Great mini fridge in room. Meal and swim times must be booked before hand. Although I wish you luck with booking your swim before arriving.
