   I purchased a portion of onion rings and some curry, the flavour was remarkable, service impeccable, i would rate it six stars if i could, the food was presented to me at a very quick pace and the young man who served me (tall with dark hair) was a delight to speak to.

   Me an my wife called we got 2 gravey chips a 2 drinks £14.20 the gravey was hot water with oxo in it chips were lifted from a chest freezer cheap frozen bag of chips 2 quid in Iceland for a bag gravey was stinking has left a rotten taste in my mouth defo wasn't worth the money staff were friendly but food was rotten wouldn't recommend

   I was really looking forward to this cafe as it got great reviews. My husband said his fish was good. I had chicken nuggets they were revolting so perhaps fish is their speciality. Big pot of tea for two. They were clearing up for the evening and there was a lot of rackets going on.The staff were perfectly nice and service was fast.The tomatoe sauce had no taste very watery. The place is big and basic. Level of cleanliness appeared to be good. Not for me but probably better if you like fish. Portion sized are very ample.

   So I haven’t got a chippy in a while because everyone I’ve had in the past year or two have been extremely greasy, freezing cold or has just been of really low quality. Ordered over the phone and was able to pick up quickly. After picking my food up I stopped at the shop to grab a few things and after getting home all my food was still warm and a perfecting eating temperature. Everything was cooked to perfection, the chips and the batter were crispy with out being too greasy and I even got a battered mars bar that brought back so much nostalgia. I would highly recommend LG’s and anyone complaining about prices should build a bridge and get over themselves. This wee chippy has been around from as far back as I can remember and is one of the few chippies to always be consistent in quality of the food they put out. Don’t be tight and tip your local businesses, next time I’m in I’ll be sure to leave a bigger one.
