Went in with my family on some very busy evenings for dinner...food was fantastic and the place was buzzing...it's right off the beach so you don't need to walk far when the post swim hangry gets to you! There were 7 of us including a fussy toddler and we left 7 clean plates...it was so good we went back a few days later for round 2. Had an after dinner ice cream the second time. All good is locally sourced and delicious.

Best food weβve had in Devon. We were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food we had today. Our new favourite spot and we canβt wait to go back. We had the restaurant food and are excited to try upstairs where they do pizza and tapas. We ordered 2 starters (hummus and calamari) and the special trio of fish main and shared all of them. Fantastic quantity of food for two hungry people! Our waitress Jess was lovely too. Thank you so much. Whatever youβre doing- donβt stop!

Wow what a great find. Food was excellent! We were on the ground floor which has a wider more traditional menu. Upstairs is bar snacks and pizza. All our meals were top notch, the pork belly was fab. Service was great and I bet this place is kicking in the summer months.

A nice pub/restaurant with a great view. Dog and children friendly. Staff are friendly and eager to help. It has a pleasant atmosphere, but can get quite busy with tourists and families due to its remote location and non booking. Downstairs is a restaurant that serves its own menu, while upstairs has a bar and pizzeria serving a different menu. The upstairs bar/pizzeria has a terrace that has views over the bay. The bar also do guest ales for anyone wanting to try something new or local. The food was nice. I had a special - seafood bisque, which was pleasant but a little lacking for the price, while my wife had the fish goujons, which were very good. The Cove also has events on during the evenings such as live music and a comedy night.

Always an interesting night at The Cove. People with different perspectives on life gather here. Food is always of a good standard and the menu has variety. Go in the evening for one of the best sunsets on the south west coast.

WOW is all I can say. It doesn't look all that much from the outside, but don't be fooled, inside is clean and cosy, and these are some properly impressive burgers, great quality meat with perfectly balanced flavours and tasty sides. Also the staff are lovely and the place is dog friendly, so it ticked all our boxes!

The Cove is one of two main restaurants that sits on the beach front in Hope Cove. My friend seasonally worked at The Cove during her time at university more than five years ago and to think that five years later a restaurant serves food just as good as someone can recall is deserving of applause. We stayed in Hope Cove for four days and every day be it morning or evening the restaurant was flying orders to tables or to takeaway. The fun loving atmosphere is enjoyable and makes the waiting time all the while. We ordered a lot so let me take you through the list: Pizza seven - arguably one of the best goats cheese pizzas I have tried; Calamari - lightly battered and so good we ordered it on both visits to the restaurant; Padron peppers - chargrilled and oozing with garlic flavour; Moules - cleverly served in the pot so they were steaming hot and packed with flavour; Chicken burger (minus the pineapple with added bacon) - meaty and cheesy offering a classic combination; and lastly Mac βnβ Cheese - indulgently creamy just as you would want it. Across all restaurants we visited, this is my first choice!
