The prices on the shelf are misleading, and the products are not properly matched to the prices displayed. I bought a packet of noodles, and the price tag on the shelf said £2.15, but when I went to pay, it turned out to be £3.99. I was really shocked and thought u had been scammed. But when I went back to check the shelf carefully, I realised the price tag didn’t actually match the product displayed there. So be aware of price tags and product matches on the shelf, it’s really tricky. I’ve been ‘tricked’ a few times before and realise only after I reached home.

I bought three items here. One item was £0.50 more than advertised on the shelf - not a huge amount, but if you read the negative reviews here, it's a common problem for shop to overcharge. I gently said to the woman at the till, "Hi, the amount advertised on the shelf is less than here (at the till)." She glared at me, then rudely responded, "NO!". Her reaction just tells me this shop regularly displays lower amounts and will overcharge you at the till, so please pay close attention to what you buy and always get a receipt. As for me, I will never visit this outlet again due to her rudeness. She truly brings such a bad name to the Asia Oriental brand.

Its good enough to pop in and look around and pick few of the items which you miss to have back home, Asian products , not all can be bought here.. i just dont like the cashier who missed to hear me i said yes for a bag, after scanning all my items , i told him can i have a bag please, and he said you said no, i said i said yes for a bag please. And move on with a Chinese attitude look on the face, i understand job is tiring. But at the end of the day smiling and being good is part of the job .

This place is awesome! The manager/owner lady is quite friendly - will help you find what you're looking for. I couldn't find Thai basil in the refrigerated section but when I asked her she said "come back in 20 minutes - it's unloading from the van!". And it did. This store is likely your best bet in Plymouth for Asian (SE Asian, East Asian, and South Asian) ingredients!

A fantastic range of oriental foods. Sometimes good to use google translate to translate the food items as some are in Chinese/Asian languages. If you love ramen (noodles) this is the place to go. And if you like hot spicy noodles to the max, try the 2x spicy noodles (red pack) or the volcano noodles (black pack) they will knock your head off. Also loads of other none spicy noodles to choose from. A large range of hot sauce. Interesting japanese style deserts. Bubble teas, herbs and spices, tofu of various types. And so much more. Everything you need for Asian cooking.

Really used to love this place but recently the customer service has gone down. Twice now an item was put through twice at the checkout, first time I did not notice it until I went home and checked the bill, I assumed it was a genuine error and forgot about it. Second time I clearly watched the lady and she once again scanned a drink twice in-between the other items. When I pointed out her error after looking at the bill she asked me to go and get another drink to make it even to which I politely refused and she reluctantly gave me the money back. I do not know if this was indeed a genuine mistake but I would ask the owner to train their staff as this is not on and not good business practice.

I have been shopping at the store for years now and have never had such a terrible experience. I was already circling the soup racks for a specific broth pack. I have been looking around for 15 minutes by now. I then went up to the till twice to ask about this and was only told to go to the back of the store. She then carried on plucking vegetables on the till instead of offering me help to find the broth pack. I was hoping to get some other items but was left disappointed. Decided to just leave. Totally unacceptable.

The store is quite big with a range of Oriental products - fresh, frozen and dried. Am not an expert and cannot differentiate some of the products however am sure you will find some Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Malaysian, Philippine, Taiwanese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Singaporean and African special ingredients not usually found in mainstream grocery supermarkets. It also has an amazing variety of rice and noodles. The products are easy to find, and there's always staff available to ask if you can't find what you are looking for. The price range is vary depending on product some are more expensive than others. I find some of the products they weigh quite expensive for example loose mangoes, plantains and okra are some of the products I thought were abit expensive compare to London. Sometimes you might find yourself queuing due to only one till operating. However both times I had to queue staff was very apologetic. Overall if you are looking for different products, herbs, spices and ingredients you will definitely find something
