    I had a very disappointing experience at this Lidl store today. I politely asked a young staff member where the waffles were. I struggled to find them and was clearly looking around different aisles. Instead of helping properly, she became rude and dismissive. When she finally showed me, she said, “The waffles are here, jeez!” in an unacceptable tone. I have social anxiety and struggle with communication. This left me feeling upset and unwelcome. Basic patience and respect were completely lacking.

    I was encouraged to get a LIDL app so i could enjoy some discounts .I however find it difficult to chase the conditions for the discounts. Why not come up with a simpler approach of getting discounts like issuing a club card or something...Besides, the products I get discounts for are so limited and rarely feature in my weekly shopping cart

    I wish they’d open more than one or two checkouts, seeing as there isn’t the self service option it’s frustrating having to wait in a 10 person queue just for a bag of sugar, but other than that, a great shop.

    Best supermarket for cost. Generally the same price before covid set in and a lot cheaper than the usual UK giants. Highly recommended. Be warned though. Fruit and veg have a shorter shelf life than the usual big chain supermarkets. So check the use by dates and freeze if you want them later.
