Haven't ordered here in a while but wow the prices have soared! I got a prawn vindaloo which had 4 prawns in it! Pilau rice and 2 poppadoms couple of chutneys £19.60! I don't mind paying for something if I'm getting my money worth but 4 prawns is a disgrace I will be sticking with my old faithful spice lisburn from now on.
We have been using this establishment for several years now and should say we had ups and downs. However there have been more ups than downs. The meals are nice even the next day compared to some other takeaways where the next day it all should be thrown out. We had an issue with this once where the meal was completely mixed up, some of our party was vegetarians and turned out some meals were doubled and all meals with meat, but since then we had no issues at all.
We asked for no beef cuz I am vegan and they gave us beef non veg platter instead of veg platter, and when we back. Their attitude was really bad chef was ready to fight with us. Worse experience ever. We end up buying nothing and they didn't return our money as well. If I had option for negative star I would definitely give that
This was a lovely little find, especially on a Saturday evening. It was quite very busy and I think that they might have been shorthanded as the orders were taking longer than they advertised. Nevertheless, the staff was fantastic and very gracious, and the food was delicious! They are quite large portions, so perhaps consider sharing. Would happily visit again!
Although the food is lovely I don’t think we’ll be back. Placed an order online and it was an hour wait and we said okay fine but then we got there at the time stated and then had to wait another hour for our food, the same as several other people. And while I appreciate there can be busy weeks the staff should have made the customers aware of the delay and give them the option to cancel or give a discount. This is absolutely ridiculous a bottle of drink is not compensation for an hour wasted! Plus seeing people come in later than you (clearly regulars) and getting their food first, even much larger orders was just the icing on the cake. Won’t get good return business treating customers that way!
Took 2 hours from order. An hour slower than suggested pick up time. Same for everyone else waiting there. Very slow on a previous order too. Won’t be back
Only takes cash, and got the order wrong. A bit dodgy especially for Hillsborough.
Tried this a few times a while ago and food was good - I would try again if you were on Just Eat with a few good reviews. There’s not a lot of choice on just eat in Hillsborough.
I'm not sure if the negative feedback is fair, or if they've sharpened up their act since. I only read the review after eating from here and it seems mixed, but here's our experience. 3 of us ate from here for the first time tonight. 2 Chicken Jalfrezis, chicken was cooked perfectly, it tasted fresh, and was very tasty. Good bit of heat. I got the Chicken Tikka with Naan and the chicken was cooked beautifully, succulent, and the naan also seemed freshly made. The house sauce paired amazingly and for myself was easily the best Chicken Tikka Kebab that I've had in recent memory We'll hope to be back here to eat again, and would recommend you try it.
I am very surprised at the negative comment posted. Having lived in many countries I have to say that Curry Leaf food is delicious The staff are friendly, engaging and go out off the way to please. About to order again;saw this comment and felt very strong need to voice my own opinion. Excellent food
