   Very impressed with the friendly and efficient service at the counter, and the food is always lovely. Great spot for a Chinese meal, which of course means that at peak times it can be quite busy, which is to be expected.

   Firstly, this is the only Chinese I speak highly of, and until tonight I have never been disappointed in any way by this place. The waiting time can be long, and I guess it's a sign of the usual standard of food, which is exceptional. The masaman curry is a thing of beauty. And my young son will also eat from no other Chinese, if it's not the honey chilli chicken from Canton, he just complains that it's not the honey chilli chicken from Canton. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and warm, no matter how hectic the place gets.. Tonight is the only time I have felt let down, and not by the mains, but by a side dish. A simple portion of onion rings has tainted the unbreakable bond I feel between my stomach and Cantons food. Usually a feast of freshly made battered onion rings, to accompany the tasty main course.. tonight, I opened the bag and was faced with something that I would have expected from a fast food establishment.. a bag of frozen onion rings had been thrown into the fryer and then presented to me.. these tasteless hoops of breaded disappointment, found a comfortable place in my bin, leaving an uncomfortable gap in my tummy. That being said, one side dish-appoinment is not even to bring down my rating. I will be back regularly, I'll probably just switch to spring rolls as the side from now on. Keep up the great work guys.. but ditch those rings please..

   First time trying Canton. Canton was extremely busy on arrival to collect my takeaway. I called ahead 2 hours before to secure my order however, when I arrived I waited over 50 minutes for my food. I had to ask where it was and the lady said I think I’ve seen that one. I wasn’t impressed with the service or the delay.. disappointing. Though, the quality of food was unbelievable!! Beef and black bean, salt and chilli chicken with curry sauce and salt and chilli chips all of it 10/10. A lucky escape after the poor service.

   Every time I go card machine not working or away getting fixed. Everyone being encouraged to use card where possible you would think Canton would ensure card machine is available. Food disappointing - we usually go couple times a week and food usually great but tonight was below average. Maybe chef having an off night which can happen but we have decided to give it a miss for a while. Gave me fried rice instead of boiled which I ordered but by the time I would have taken it back and got right rice food would have been cold. Thank you for your reply but I did not leave review to seek any recompense - merely to advise of disappointing meals - I appreciate your offer but we have decided just to not order again for a while. Food honestly was very poor tonight, very stodgy and chicken tasted a bit funny. Really put us off - hard to understand as food is usually very good.

   Very disappointed. Ordered special fried rice which comes with gravy. Food arrived within 20 minutes but surprisingly it could have been warmer. The meal fell onto my plate from the carton in a congealed lump! The chicken was clearly water bulked, the rice stuck together and was very stodgy. I consumed a quarter of the food and put the rest in the bin. Never again...
