   Ordered last night 24.8.25 House special noodles Chicken balls Salt and pepper chips Salt and pepper squid Crisp beef Noodles had no vegetables, they use tiny shrimp, NOT king prawn. The meat was cut into the tiniest pieces and not very much of it. May as well of just ordered plain noodles. Chicken balls really hard, either over cooked or reheated and not fresh. Salt and pepper chips only a few onions, no actual peppers. Salt and pepper squid rock hard, either over cooked or reheated. Total waste of £38 They thrown in a free small pot of curry and some mini spring rolls. Definitely not worth them skimping on other ingredients to then try and make up for it these. My regular Chinese (Red Hat on Beechdale Road was shut for the bank holiday)

   I have been using China Gardens for over 30 years. The family previously there were so friendly and food fantastic. Their son was so lovely and helpful when serving. Has changed hands I think on more than one occasion in past few years. As of this weekend end I had had enough of the quality of the food, value for money and portion sizes, increased prices, more than once in the past few years and reducing the amount of chicken served. !!!!!! My last order included special chow mein which consisted of the tiniest pieces of previously cooked and dried up chicken and some other dried meat ? (so tiny was the size of my finger nail!) which I binned. So in all I paid nearly seven pounds for a dish of noodles. Not the best value for money. Would like to know where the excellent reviews come from.

   We always go here whenever we fancy a Chinese. Portions are very generous, crispy chilli beef stays crispy even when drowned in the sauce and salt and chilli Chips were coated with flavour. Coming from a Chinese takeaway kid myself this is one of the best takeaways in nottingham

   Ordered from China Gardens and was pleasantly greeted by friendly and accommodating staff. The service was brilliant and food was delicious. I’d recommend the kung po chicken if you like a bit of spice and the egg fried rice as a very tasty addition to any meal!

   Absolutely incredible service. 17 people needed feeding with a really short time scale. On a Friday night. Ordered over the phone for a collection. When we arrived half an hour later the staff were so friendly, they even gave us some freebies. Food was amazing. portion size was huge. The guy up front I think the owners son is an absolute credit to this place. He is super charming. 17 fed and happy bellies
