We booked this at the last minute for a small family and friends post-funeral reception (20 people). It was outstanding. The staff accommodated every wish and I know my mother was smiling down on us. Eleanor and her team couldn't do enough. Not the most obvious choice, but the best one for our family. Cozy, warm and intimate - a fitting send off for my Mum with her close friends and family.

This place needs a serious deep clean. I didnt eat the soup due to the filthy cutlery and crockery. My knife had jam on the handle and the cup they gave me for the tea was stained but wiped off with my finger ! So basically it just wasn't washed properly. The wee tea spoon was like one out of the shipyard....badly stained !
My sandwich was cut into 4s (lol like you do for the weeuns). Also they used a knife that had clearly been used to cut a toastie, as the toastie crumbs and tomato weren't part of my sandwich (you couldn't make this up lol). We ordered a sausage roll that supposed to come with salad and coslaw and we asked for red sauce too, no salad or coslaw but extra 25p for the weered sauce (swear down lol).
The monster sandwich is not monster.....and again was missing the side salad and nachos.
If your still reading at this point, ill tell you about the staff, I dont think either of them gave a hoot about being there, food order took, food order brough. That was genuinely it lol.
Was so excited to finally get to this wee spot. Can honesty say, I physically couldn't go back there, it fully turned me with the dirt of the place.

Popped in for Brunch with Mum. Beautifully decorated and inviting. Staff very welcoming, attentive and friendly addressing regulars by name. Food was delicious, coffee piping hot. Very accommodating as I requested an off menu meal. Will definitely return and will recommend to others. Prices might not suit everyone but in my opinion it's worth it.

Popped in mid afternoon for coffee, seem to be quiet and got a table quickly (additional seating upstairs), service from staff very friendly and helpful, although we didn't eat a menu on each table appeared to have a good selection of snacks and pastries some of which were displayed at the counter (apple pie looked deep and delicious). Prices very reasonable and I'll happily return.

Did not go at a busy time. (After 2.30pm on a Tuesday). Was not greeted on entry. Found a sign that says take a seat., Took a seat. Waited and waited for order to be taken. Order taken for 2 of us. 2 soft drinks and salad. was aware of the '30 min fresh policy'. 4 people who arrived after us received their hot their hot food and hot drinks. We waited some more. Waitress apologised. My salad bowl' arrived on a plate.
