absolutely awful food, ordered at 8, came at 10! was stone cold, clearly left out all day and gave us the left overs !!! stale and just unedible, would never order again!! not even if i was paid to order just that bad, i would recommend going anywhere else except hel yen, still better somehow
Do not order from here !!!! Ordered food , said it was on route , an hour later rang to see where food was still on route be there in five minutes , bear in mind we have orders from here and spent a lot of money over time I food never arrived !!! They have taken the money but never got our food ! Contacted today was told it's under new ownership ! As of Friday when we ordered ! Said we can have half price next we order , don't think so I've paid full price for goods we never received! Absolutely disgusting
Poor form tonight, hour and a half for a special box and it arrived with no chicken, asked to send photos as proof and still refused to fix their mistake, won't be ordering again, I feel sorry for the 12 year old child they make use the phone, they don't need to be putting up with people complaining about the awful staff here
My local takeaway. Usually good food however, this evening something went badly wrong. Worst egg fried rice I've ever seen. It was just a container of clumped inedible mush. It tasted awful and was Immediately thrown in the bin. Shame as the other ordered items were very nice. Prices have also shot up and ordered over £26 to get a free bag of prawn crackers! 3*'s as egg fried rice let the meal down.
Young man on counter was polite and funny. Singapore rice noodles were the best I have had in a while. Chips needed seasoning but thats a personal preference. We were at a hotel so didn't have access to our own and sure that the takeaway would have obliged if we had asked. But asking us would have been a nice improvement. Crispy chilli beef was different from what I usually receive at other Chinese places but interesting. Standard pricing for a Chinese. Cash only on my visit. Parking on-street.
Just had a delivery and it was the nicest takeaway ive ever had, the king prawns in the meal were so fresh and tasty. Will definitely be ordering again
I ordered from here tonight, the food I received was cold so I called up to inform them. The man I spoke to said he would replace the food and when the driver came back I needed to give the original food back!!! Very very strange request but I did this anyway. Second time lucky went to eat my food (which was hot this time) only to find that they had sent the wrong food!! I called back to explain and the lady I spoke to was the rudest I have ever encountered! She was shouting at me telling me it was my fault and that I was now banned from ordering again and put the phone down on me!! I only ordered 1 dish, 1 chips and a can of coke!! Wasn’t exactly the biggest order! So even though I can’t order again, I wouldn’t choose to anyway!
I left a review 4 years ago saying howe bad it was, i thought today i will give them another shot see if they got better. it has got SO MUCH worst. food was absolutely disgusting, tasted like very old oil with very cheap ingredients. my children and dog wouldnt eat it and they eat anything. myself and partner threw up less than 30mins after eating only 5% of the meal the bin ate the rest. i dont like to criticise peoples work but this has been going on too long and if you read this you have to look into ways to improve. i loved zhen gardens food 5 or so years ago, im not sure what happened but its a hard fall from what it once was. i think its safe to say i wont wont give your restaurant a 6th try even after another 5 years. i gave you time and another try. the image is the food wasted to the bin. as you can see. its pretty much all of it. 1 star because i cant give 0.
Food was very tasty and portions very generous. The young lady who served me was very polite and friendly. Recommended
