Went here for supper based on a recommendation not knowing what to expect but we were so pleasantly surprised. The drive here was a bit intimidating but it’s definitely worth it. The service is quick and speedy so can feel a bit rushed if not prepared. But we had time to enjoy each course. The drinks were really interesting so many options. We had a fig cocktail and a cherry pit spritz. Both were great. Loved the desserts as well. Love the ethos of “Live life on the veg”. The menu was so well thought out and everything paired so well together. The fig salad with pine nuts and feta was so refreshing and delicious. The padron peppers roulette was a good little addition. Hummus and sourdough bread with nigella seeds was an exciting start to the meal. Staff were super kind and friendly, they were very well organised, everything felt intentional and thought out. Really enjoyed it , would definitely recommend visiting for the whole experience. Such good value for the price.

Have been eating here for years and it NEVER misses a beat. They've obviously had to change things in the wake of COVID, so it isn't quite the same set up as their original vision, but it is still brilliant. Food is delicious. The staff couldn't be nicer. The space is gorgeous. The drinks are interesting and there are so many fun options to try. Everything is thoughtfully made and seasonal and it feels like great value for money.

Gorgeous food that has come a matter of yards from the fields right next to where you eat. Great service and very reasonable set price menu. Would definitely return if we’re nearby again

Loved this field kitchen & it's unique dining experience. All diners are invited to arrive @ 7pm for a 7:30 serving of the exact same dishes. With a focus on vegetarian dishes with a hint of meat it's taster plates were interesting combinations of ingredients & flavours. A varied wine list & range of soft drinks were on offer. The beautiful wooden structure of this gorgeous restaurant lives harmoniously within the rural setting. An inviting outdoor space was available for those warmer days/evenings. Plenty of parking available on site.

An almost endless variety of incredibly well cooked vegetable dishes come one at a time. They are amazingly good! The meat course then arrives at the end but the veg is the star of the show here! Great value too.

Being a long term customer, being on holiday in Devon was the Ideal opportunity to visit the Field Kitchen for the first time since they toured the country 12 or so years ago. It didn't disappoint! From the starter of squash puree with chickpeas, to the incredibly soft and delicious roast beef, to the yummy tiramisu, it exceeded expectations. And we even caught a glimpse of Guy Watson through the window. The only downside was the Chicory dish. There's nothing you can do to make this a pleasure to eat.

Truly unique dining experience in an incredible setting. Fresh vegetable-based dishes using the highest-quality seasonal produce. Creative drinks menu. Very fair price for the quality of the food and the atmosphere. Service is always impeccable. Will keep coming back! Update: visited yesterday evening and as always blown away by the incredible food and great value. Highlight was the green beans with figs and ajo blanco! Highly recommend!!

Really lovely experience - fantastic food in the beautiful Devon countryside with a great ethos of organic and sustainable farming. We have been looking forward to trying the Field Kitchen having had veg deliveries from Riverford. The food was absolutely delicious, super fresh, vibrant and imaginatively prepared, with several dishes that come out one or two at a time, so a nice surprise as to what dish is coming next. Also, great to be able to come to a restaurant where the veg is the star of the show! The menu is set, based around what is seasonally available, but any special requests can specified at the time of booking. There are also drink specials and a choice of desserts. The staff are friendly and attentive and the place has a very relaxed ambience overall, with an open kitchen and you can also wander around the growing areas, which all adds to the experience. It's tucked away on a quiet country road, so it's worth allowing extra journey time if you don't know the area. Look forward to returning - wish we lived close by!

Our first dining experience at Riverford Field Kitchen was so good that we've already booked to come again. Excellent service, exceptional food and a beautiful setting. The menu was amazing and I love the fact that they choose what you eat. They also made amendments for me allergies which was great.
