My Son is getting married on the 6th July. I needed to get suits, shirts, ties, waistcoats and shoes for the wedding party. I dealt with a gentleman called Gerry in Newtownards who provided an excellent experience the whole way through from getting the guys measured up and supply nothing was to difficult for him and every question was satisfied. We had a seamless experience and I would have no hesitation in recommending SD KELLS and Gerry for all your needs
This store was always a well reputed store selling quality menswear and I often browsed. I recently needed a new suit and thought, no better place. On my arrival the store was far from full but staff seemed to be run a little ragged. I was told to help myself to a look which I did, but suits off the rail seem to be for men with normal chests but huge waists. So was eventually guided to mix and match where I picked a jacket and trousers. The suit was left over for my return later in the week. I was delighted with the suit, if not the service. On my return I paid for my suit and left. At home I removed the suit from the bag to find the trousers were fine but the jacket was the wrong size, so again I returned to SD Kells to find the suit had been removed from the back room and sold then replaced with a substitute they thought was the correct size. No apology, just an assurance they would have a replacement jacket the next week. Today, Friday, I got a call saying they had a jacket and would drop it at my home address at approximately 6pm. I'm typing this at 7.15pm and still no jacket. To say I'm disappointed in the shoddy service of this usually reputable store is an understatement.
Went for trousers.got them.quick service. Bought new belt too. Craic with regular staff good. My friend got gents goods too. We left with very positive feelings for store and staff.
Great service provided by George. Really helpful and I appreciated his Frank honesty which helped decide my wedding suits. Highly recommended. Definitely would only use these guys for an event.
The gents (tailors) in S.D. Kells are so experienced that they could tell your measurements on first sight. Very professional and helpful in manner. It's a service that is so rare these days. Quality suits, jackets, shirts, trousers and the rest.
Great staff offering loads of help. I didn't end up finding what I was looking for, but the staff were great, and it's not their fault I've a odd fit in trousers.
