The store is absolutely fantastic. The suits he carries and stocks are of great quality, personality and individuality. Also, he is cheery and willing to work to bring in a variety if it isn.t something stocked. Absolute treasure of a shop!!

Went in the shop and was measured for a hat for the races. Was told the hat would be in within a week, no worries I though because I didn’t need it do four weeks. Three weeks later called the shop, went to the shop, no answer / not open. Called multiple times with no answer. The two times they did answer, once was a very elderly lady who I couldn’t understand at all. The second time was the shop owner who kept saying his he was on holiday and he only had 1% battery charge on his phone, which subsequently kept cutting out. Back to phoning them again now, there’s no answer even though it’s during there supposed opening hours. I need what I ordered asap.

A brilliant shop for your menswear needs (especially formalwear) - it looks small from the outside but it's an Aladdin's cave of menswear and accessories - suits, ties, hats, shoes and many other things besides. Everything is very reasonably priced and Brandon is passionate about what he sells and not pushy at all. Definitely worth a visit in my opinion, supporting a small business.

Nice shop, very well mannered owner who was able to help me with a hat purchase. I would love to one day change my entire wardrobe to the styles of gentlemen wear that this shop offers because I love the way I look when dressed smart but it is a bit of an oddity in today's world and even the job I do requires casual clothing but one day I will be able to retire and dress like a true gentleman in the way my father used to do. Walking cane and pocket watch will be proudly used daily. I honestly cannot wait.

A RETURN VISIT GUARANTEED Smalleys is a delightful gentleman's outfitters and tailors of the old school. A formal wearer's paradise. Its broad range of crowned hats (from Trilbies to Top), tailored jackets, suits, dress shirts and coats, along with a tasteful choice of stylish shoes and accessories are initially presented in an eye catching, traditionally dressed shop window. Once inside, they're displayed on and within accessible vintage wooden shelving stands, cabinets and a charming timber framed glass counter. Not a single pushy salesman in sight, its friendly, politely self effacing and immaculately attired proprietor, Mr Brandon Harris is a most helpful, engaging and highly knowledgeable gentleman in all matters sartorial. Nothing ever seems too much trouble. He unfailingly treats each customer with attentive, unhurried courtesy and is always pleased to order any non-stocked item. Should you be frustrated by the lack of choice of formal apparel and dress accessories in today's chain stores including individual waistcoats, ties (and their slides, clips and shirt studs), hats of all sizes or cummerbunds, trouser braces, detachable collars, bow ties, silk breast pocket handkerchiefs, dress scarves, morning or evening glove, then Smalleys is definitely for you. An excellent choice of quality topped walking sticks and umbrellas are permanently stocked, alongside such present day retail rarities as traditionally designed wrist or pocket watches, vintage design cufflinks, homely knitted cardigans, silk styled dressing gowns and even those luxurious velvet collared smoking jackets. Any tailored adjustments, alterations or additions are most skilfully undertaken as well as hat stretching, medal mounting, specialist button replacements - or just the perfectly placed feather in your cap! Great care is taken on being fitted for a made to measure garment. I have had the pleasure of being the delighted recipient of at least one of their bespoke shirts. The detailed attention paid to its measuring, material, design and parts along with its subsequent perfect fit and comfort - was second to none. Smalleys is a true Nottingham treasure. Its unique selection of wares, intimate air of elegance and gentrified charm seems on each visit to make time both stand still and yet fly.

My son wanted a hat to go with his suit. We couldn't find anything suitable in any department stores. Spotted this gentleman's outfitters. It is stacked high with everything you could want. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. My son left with a Fedora hat that complemented his suit perfectly. Highly recommended.

Excellent service here. A true gentleman's outfitters with an extensive range of hats and suits for all occasions. Shoes and accessories available too. Very reasonably priced, given the quality of the apparel available here. Very few shops like this still going, sadly. Couldn't have been more pleased with our visit today.

Fantastic shop, always well stocked. A veritable Aladdin's cave! The owner is always happy to chat. Very knowledgeable and decent. One note, repairs, alterations and bespoke take a long time. I think this is due to the high workload which I suppose is testament to the quality of this business.
