World class cooked breakfast - they have perfected the breakfast dining experience; the bacon; the eggs; the bread, the whole damn lot. You will leave wanting more and will be further satisfied by nothing other. Cheers chef

Absolutely amazing spot for breakfast!! Staff so so friendly and great service - drinks were lovely and quick. Food was DELICIOUS especially veggie breakfast and they accommodated our changes. Such a cute town definitely worth a visit!

So glad the Old Library are offering an evening menu again on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as their renowned daytime brunch. We've been twice and it's excellent! Short but inventive menu, decent wine and friendly service from the enthusiastic chefs. The menu changes monthly, so we'll definitely be back.

This place is small and always active. Their food is on the pricy side, but honestly well worth the money. I've tried both the mushroom madame (veggie croque madame) and the pork belly sandwich, and both are very well seasoned and flavorful.

Like others, I found The Old Library Cafe while parking my bike. I was welcomed and the staff were quick to see the value of my custom - this is being forgotten in commercial chains hence my choice of independent businesses. The ambiance was lovely - and a strict no laptop policy is always inviting. I will be back and would recommend to one and all.

First time in Ashburton since lockdown....it was very quiet. Found this lovely cafe/brunch place which is very popular. Coffee and some lovely toast ( homemade bread ) with a mixed berry jam. It was absolutely delicious. Lots of types of breakfast on the board and they looked very nice when they were coming out. Quite expensive. Similar prices to what we would pay in London. Good ambiance....Good service

A delightful little cafe/restaurant that was offering a lovely range of brunch options when we visited. Felt like a nice mix of London artisan cuisine with a Devonshire town vibe. Might seem pricey to some, but you get very tasty and well presented dishes. We had a salmon and cream cheese croissant, some bacon, egg and avocado croissants, and huevos rancheros. Yum!

Had breakfast at the Old Library yesterday with my wife. We both had the OLB Full breakfast. It was superb, thanks Amy & Jo, and your whole team. We come here as often as we can and have never been disappointed. The standard of the food, the lovely friendly staff and the atmosphere are all first class. A very special place. Thank you

Chefs Joe & Amy do an amazing job of creating simple dishes, packed full of flavour and pinache without being modernistically fiddly. Every ingredient has a purpose, they really understand how to get best out of their produce. Portions sizes are great and priced realistically. Front of house team are attentive, efficient and friendly. A semi hidden gem (in a back street) that I discovered by accident. I look forward to returning on my future trips to Ashburton.
