The staff are pretty miserable. One of them who works mornings (hair tied back, thick glasses, 50s) is an absolute bundle of joy. I've heard her talk about customers out loud to other staff and she'll pick and choose who she's friendly to on the till. Serious chip on her shoulder. Maybe some staff training is in order.
Absolutely horrendous customer service unfortunately didn't get her name but blonde shoulder length hair, never have I felt so humiliated in a shop, I walked into.the shop with a bag and some already purchased baby food from elsewhere under my arm as I stopped to pick up some chicken i put my bag down and the baby food on top (now I can see how the initial confusion began) thisady approached me and her words were you can't put that in there my response was why she followed with you can't, you can't just take things, I said I didn't she then proceeded to say you can't leave with that without paying at which point I told her to check her cameras and that she was been very rude, she then proceeded to say how sick she is of people stealing well sorry I had customer service training of the highest standard at Beatties and you don't treat customers the same as criminals at least get your facts correct if your going to accuse someone of stealing, I understand it is a deprived area and people do steal but if I was approached in the correct manner instead of been accused I would of been ok with it, I very nearly walked out without making my purchase unfortunately she has lost the company any further business if mine due to the rude and aggressive manner in which she spoke to me. Disgusting service
Arrived at 11:56 while I understand this is late I explained to the security that all I was after was eggs because I work late and needed to make dinner was denied entry this is not on when a place claims to be open till 12
Popped in to fill up and had some car trouble. They were really kind and understanding, even though I was blocking one of their pumps. Even helped me get a new battery for my key!
After just popping for for a meal deal for me And my son, I won’t be back. I went to pay and the lady said would you like a bag and started bagging my food. I handed her a five pound note and started counting some change out of my handbag, and placed it on the counter and then argued with me I hadn’t gave her the 5 pound note and was adamant I still owed it her. After a further back and forth, she randomly looked in my shopping bag and said oh it dropped in the bag and it was under all the shopping she had just packed. Very rude and no apology.
Bad service never be back again
Don't go there in morning if you want to get to work. One on the till the queue the length of the shop but don't bother pressing the bell
No social distancing in place at all! Just been in and wish I had gone to another petrol station. The queue is bundled together to the point where the lady behind me was actually touching the back of my coat while I was paying! Female member of staff just stood in the queue having a chat with someone else! Too many people in the shop and no enforcement at all! Ridiculous.
Great place if you like queues, Staff are nice and I wish they pressed the bell quicker when the queue starts building up when there's one person on the tills. Prices are really good and the fuel is esso fuel which is better than supermarket brand fuel. Has most of the bits you need for additional food shopping and much more since the refurb. Good tip, Avoid at 5pm and after 4pm on Sundays as the queues get silly
