   Visited The Cake Solution Stapleford and really enjoyed the experience! I had the toast topped with creamy scrambled eggs and sliced tomatoes — delicious and nicely presented. It came with fresh salad veggies on the side, which added a refreshing touch. The coffee was smooth and paired perfectly with the meal. The atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming, and the menu offered a nice variety of breakfast and lunch options. Overall, a lovely place to relax and enjoy good food. Definitely worth a visit!

   Chocolate cake was okay but the tea wasn’t great. Prices were quite high for the portion size. I noticed the owner mentioned in another review that the portion size hasn’t changed in 25 years — perhaps that’s part of the issue. The seating was also uncomfortable, as the chairs were too far from the tables. Tried Simply Delicious on the same road the next day — much better portions, great taste, comfortable seating, and far better value for money. Bake Me A Wish again same stretch of road very good too. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to The Cake Solution. EDIT: Thank you for your reply. I appreciate that your portions, pricing, and seating may suit some customers. My review simply reflects my own experience, and I mentioned other cafés purely to provide context for readers — not to promote anyone over your business. I shared my feedback so that you might understand how your offerings feel to different customers.    I thought I’d go in and check this place out as it’s a new business to give them some support. It’s an okay place but the prices were horrendous for the portion size that you got. My potato was teeny tiny as well my sandwiches and it cost me £16 for those two meals. The tables are quite small and not very comfortable because you can’t move close enough to them. Probably won’t go again, on a good note the cake was good but definitely the portion size has shrunk to what they used to be.

   My daughter and I decided to give this place a go for breakfast . It really didn't disappoint. It was a very welcoming relaxing environment, clean and tidy and very attentive with service. There was a lovely selection of breakfast, lunch and cakes to choose from . We will definitely be returning.. keep up the good work

   Service was OK. Had mug of tea in a chipped cup, toast bread very thin and very under toasted with margarine. My grandson had hot chocolate and chocolate cake. I paid £11.99 which I thought quite a lot for what we had. Place needed a good clean lady serving was quite pleasant. Sorry will not be recommending or returning.

   I think I wanted it to be better than it was. The atmosphere is strange, there is so much space in the middle of the room, along with the colour I think it feels very cold. Ordered breakfasts and coffee. Coffee wasn’t very hot and the breakfast was disappointing.
