    A really lovely coffee shop by the disused Derby canal. Excellent service, good menu choices and reasonable prices. Might be worth booking a table at busy times. Good car parking included 2 disabled spaces. We will be back! Good outdoor seating when the weather is good.

    A repeat visit to Canal Cottage, which was more of a contrast to two weeks ago. A welcoming reception, attentive service. I had an enjoyable sausage cob and excellent Americano costing me £7.60. Café was busy, atmospheric, and clean and I look forward to my return (providing I can park! This was somewhat problematic today when someone sitting outside asked me to move and park in the overflow car park, but there were only two spaces left l, so this has potential to be an issue).

    Been here a few times now and tried a few different things to eat, jacket spud was lovely, panini was lovely, poached eggs on toast not so good,asked for dippy, not dippy just snotty probably wouldn't have that again, the cake however is always delicious, coffee also nice,lovely venue, staff are friendly

    Good spot would recommend. Excellent cake; Also friendly staff asked if our water bottles needed refilling from their spring water. When walking it's not always easy to ask for tap water at certain venues but really friendly staff here. Were also attentive to a friend's dog with water/doggy treats.

    Found this newly opened little gem by accident. Good tables outside in a nice area. Only had a drink on this occasion but the menu is good and the cakes look like they are to die for. This may be the first of our visits but definitely not the last
