Disappointing because it's where I always buy my walking boots and it is now Go Outdoors. I couldn't linger to look at footwear because a faulty fluorescent tube was making such a loud buzzing,I couldnt stand it.
We were served by Sue and she was simply amazing. No faff no stress. We ordered Peter Storm blimco jacket online on the Millets website but after using the size guide we ordered a jacket which was way to big when it arrived, we took it into store with our invoice note and swapped for a smaller size. Sue sorted it out for us in record time and was friendly and professional, really really happy with her service. The jacket is perfect and really great price over the original RRP.
Entered the store at 5:45, we were looking for a decent waterproof jacket, staff had no intention of helping serve us, they were too busy chatting around till, the only attention we received was from a staff member who told us we had 4 minutes left, I was gobsmacked, so left, went to go outdoors and spent £200 there instead. Terrible service, store manager should be embarrassed, and worried for the stores future.
Recently went to the Millets store in Plymouth to get some outdoor equipments. The store has a good selection of items and the staff are brilliant. Hayley and Kitty helped us choose the items giving us pros and cons and recommendations. The jacket we were going to buy had a small damage and Kitty went in to the store and found us new ones from two different colours. This really touched us. The customer service we got was top notch which really uplifted our overall experience in the store. Keep up the good work!
I visited today and purchased some walking shows. I hate shopping at the best of times and this was the 3rd shop, so I was already waning. However, the service was great and the assistant (sorry I didn't get her name) was very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you

Went in first thing today to get a rain jacket, staff friendly and helpful from the moment I entered, found exactly what I wanted. Would return again.
Despite being near closing time wasn't hurried around the shop. Found what I wanted and the gentleman on the till give me valuable information on the item.
Went in to buy decent walking boots. The young gentleman who served me had all the charisma of a wet lettuce. He was simply not interested in making a sale or giving me a good shopping experience. Left the boots and purchased some elsewhere.
