    I wanted a new dashcam for our new Rangerover. Halfords staff were extremely helpful and had several types to choose from. Once we agreed on the device we wanted them to install it in the vehicle. This was done a couple of weeks later by Philip whose knowledge, experience and customer approach was excellent in all respect and we were happy that the overall cost was competitive and good value for money. I cannot recommend Halfords more highly. 5 Star service.

    Thank you Theodore ,you put a new battery in my car ,I was so worried you put me at ease and was very helpful . I came again just a week ago to ask about the right oil in my car as I have an Audi TT and Theodore recommended the Castro edge 5w-30 instead of 5w-40 instead of the Mobile super 3000 which I was told by a car mechanic would be okay. I really appreciate the information and have decided to join your motoring club again as I cancelled it a couple of years ago as it looked liked the full services I’ve had in the past at Arnold Halfords auto centre Hadn't been carried out properly and I’d been going for years,I want to think that Arnold auto centre are genuinely serving my car and mot to a high standard,so I’m going to give it another go ,I really hope I’m not disappointed as I have always gone for a full service to keep my car in good shape.

    I’ve now had the exact same frustrating experience twice with two different Halfords stores. First, I ordered a simple tube of carbon assembly paste from the Netherfield store. The website showed it in stock, so I placed the order. I received a confirmation email telling me it was ready to collect. Then, someone called me to say it actually wasn’t in stock after all. Their explanation? “It must have been shoplifted off the shelf.” I found that a bit weak, but fair enough—once. So I tried again, this time with the Nuthall store. Same process: I placed the order, got an email confirming it was ready to collect, and then—six minutes later—another email saying the item wasn’t in stock. A while after that, they phoned me to confirm it’s not available. When I asked why I was able to order it in the first place, guess what the explanation was? “It must have been shoplifted off the shelf.” So now it’s obvious: that’s their standard excuse. A stock answer—pun intended—that shifts the blame onto some imaginary shoplifter, rather than admitting their inventory system is broken. The core problem is bigger than a missing product: There’s no way to speak to a human before ordering—only an AI phone system that blocks you at every turn. The online stock system is unreliable and not linked to what’s actually on the shelves. The people responsible for this mess are untouchable, while store staff are left to deliver scripted apologies. This isn’t just poor service. It’s a company that has intentionally removed all the safeguards that would stop this happening. I don’t appreciate being misled or lied to—twice. Be warned: if you order something from Halfords because it says “in stock,” be prepared for a follow-up email—or call—saying it was “shoplifted.” And no way to verify anything until it’s too late.

    What an absolute joke . 6 journey's to buy a replacement wheel for a bike. The first time we actually took the wheel with us that we wanted got home & it's the wrong wheel. Returned the next day & ordered the replacment, picked it up & suprise still the wrong wheel i retured it with a photo of the bike & photo of the size ect of the wheel we needed to be told that was the correct one . Had to return again with my husband to be told it is the wrong wheel & they ordered the third one . Got it home today & they have given us the wrong one AGAiN !!!!
