    I want to be honest I’m critical old school but young still:) if I’m desperate I get appointments. Jot all staff are great that’s true it looks like you have forced some to be there. However the physio is exceptional the doctors don’t just tend to hand you any old thing. Some are genuinely interested in how you are feeling I’ve had that on more than one occasion. I’ve had much worse surgeries in bilston such as bilson health centre. Often things can be out and f the person on the desks control. That’s why I’ve never got angry with them. They don’t get paid enough. Your health isn’t worth the stress with that and I get stressed easily very easy. The only thing I can advise is message them phone or arrive on same day before 8 am they have always tried their best with me and that’s the receptionists across all the surgeries not one or two each one has always tried to get an appointment so it’s not like they would know me personally I guess I’m trying to say. I can only suggest this. Times are changing we no longer get family doctors. They see loads a day. Yes I agree they get paid enough. One doctor though actually made me think differently he pointed out a truth. Last year not even year ago I was in hospital passed out with blood pressure of 200. Ended up in icu. Always known blood pressure issues so hospital should kept me in they sent me home as I woke up told me it was stress. My doctor pointed out I couldn’t have had a panic attack whilst unconscious that that’s what’s known as a symptomatic heart attack. It made sense I don’t remember much but I know I wernt panicking as I was only at 111 I though I had a water infection and was weekend.they told me go see my doctor and as my doctor rightly pointed out. How can I monitor your blood p24 hours I can’t come home with you. I can’t xray you. I can’t send blood test to reception and get back within hour . I can only do so much. In all honesty they changed over years of the way I thought. I thought that’s right he has a point. Sometimes though I get it it’s easier to blame who’s in front of you. Unfortunately when they refer you or it’s something out of their control it becomes a complaint. This isn’t a lecture please don’t think this. However I made me think when he put it like this to me. Also it don’t help when people don’t cancel appointments. That could be used for you. Just like you get the arrogant people who won’t move out the way when an ambulance has its siren on “. That’s a second that could save someone. I guess it’s a new way looking at things

    No GP appointments for 3 weeks in advance. Told to use triage service on line. I did, The out come was I need to see I GP (I know, that is why I was trying to book one!!) The reception rings me to tell me to book an appointment, so I say yes pls. She then says sorry we don't have any from now until 9th June. Wtaf

    Went to book an appointment online on NHS app and I stated if was confidential ii get a call back then next day saying this is not good enough and they need a reason why I need a doctors appointment, I was told by admin that when it is triaged it won't be viewed by the admin, this was not the case and I then asked for the practice policy from the practice manager who said that I was not able to view this as they don't have one in place. Do I need to say anything else about this place, The way they think they can treat you is not acceptable and I won't be going back again.unless I really have to as it's the only one available in my catchment area

    rang to try and speak to a gp at grove medical centre because I had blood test saying I had some abnormalities found so as you do I started panicking I suppose I just wanted peace of mind but I had this horrible receptionist called ashna I was upset and she told me to wait like everyone else and then put the phone down on me!!!? I mean how bad is that? ...... she is a horrible person and should not be working as a drs receptionist she has no care at all others have also complained about her on here too I am going to put a full complaint about her when I've sorted my health out !!!!

    Been a patient of this surgery for over 30 years, since birth and how I miss the Dr Julka days. Now this “Health and Beyond” group is a shambles, almost impossible to get an appt unless you’re almost on your death bed, and even then it’s weeks ahead or they’re advising you to go to New Cross if you need more urgent care. And let’s not talk about the ridiculous call wait times then as if it couldn’t get worse now they've introduced an online booking system which is only available to use for a very limited time at 7:30 am. It’s not a user friendly way to request a gp appt, and certainly not convenient or even practical for a lot of people I.e elderly. There’s a big assumption being made that everyone is PC literate and has internet/wifi. As for the receptionists, I agree with other comments about them being rude and lacking empathy. The service does not compare to that of Dr Julia and the sweetest receptionist Debbie (r.i.p). Needless to say I’m changing GP’s without further ado.

    Only having to leave one start as there is no option for zero stars. My mum has been registered with one of member practices of “Health and Beyond” for over 40yrs. With her declining health, she is housebound. Tried to get a home visit on the advice of secondary care clinic and the reception team flatly refused claiming she is out of catchment area! Impossible to get appointments in general and simple things like medication requests take forever. Another case of how a conglomerate such as health and beyond have driven a family practice into disrepute, SHAME ON YOU!

    Can never get a appointment and when you finally do the service is really poor! One Asian receptionist is so rude im supprised shes still there! You struggle to get a day off work then when you finally do, They cancel appointment! Health and beyond needs closing down!

    There was a review about this medical centre a month ago and it was from my daughter, her experience and mine are different, she gave them a 1 star and I giving a 4. There is a receptionist at the surgery she is a horrible person to deal with but I believe that she need training on customer support skills. From my daughter experience I have heard on the phone how receptionist behave and I had to step in to put her in her place. I believe since covid things as changed and surgery could do with some improvements.

    Wouldn’t recommend this GP. Been on hold for a long time, they hung up on me 4 times. Miscommunication between the receptionists and the doctors, been told by doctors to book blood test then told they don’t do blood tests there and that I’ll have to contact Phoenix medical centre. When trying to find an appointment time they hang up on me again! Woman was rude and no sympathy at all! Disgusting service.

    I attended grove medical centre today 14/02/22 for an appointment with the nurse. My appointment was at 08.30am, but with there being a school nearby I was 15 minutes late for my appointment. As soon as I entered I apologised for being late and the receptionist told me she would speak to the nurse for me and told me to wait. Approx 30minutes later I got up to ask the receptions to see if they had any further update - the one lady who initially seen to me was on the phone but quietly said to the other receptionist that she had spoken to the nurse and she said “if the next appointment doesn’t turn up I will see to her, (me)”. Since I was sat there for the 30 minutes no other had patients walked in for an appointment. I told them I apologised on arrival for being late but why had no one communicated this to me since I was sat there waiting for 30 minutes, as had I of known this information sooner I would’ve rebooked immediately and left. Instead they chose to waste 30 minutes of my time in which I had to get up to find out what was going on. I iterated this many times but all the reception kept telling me was to rebook, as this is what the nurse advised. I iterated I was sat there waiting for over 30 minutes now and not one out of the three receptionists informed me of this and stated had I have not got up to see what was going on I could’ve still been waiting to hear from them. This had wasted my time in which easily could’ve been solved by me rebooking an appointment had they of told me from the get go. Awful communication skills especially with the reception team - rude and abrupt.
