Lisa the practice manager tried to show attitude for a missed appointment and said “ you cant have an emergency appointment “ when I have an ongoing issue. She was rude horrible and nasty. She shouldn’t be a practice manager . She doesn’t have the right qualities to be one to make your patient feel safe and cared for . She will most likely be the reason people will change GP’s. Appalling !!!! Sort your staff out

cannot express my gratitude enough for the exceptional care I received at Lockstown Practice. This amazing team of doctors and staff quite literally saved my life. I was facing a serious health crisis, and from the moment I stepped through their doors, I felt in safe hands. The doctors here go above and beyond, combining their medical expertise with genuine compassion and dedication. They listened to me, took my symptoms seriously, and took swift and decisive action to get to the root of the problem. The follow-up care has been nothing short of remarkable; they made sure I was on the right path to recovery and continued to check in on me regularly. The entire staff, from reception to nursing, creates an environment of warmth and professionalism. You can tell they truly care about each patient that walks through their doors. It’s rare to find a practice with this level of empathy, attentiveness, and commitment to patient wellbeing. If you are looking for a GP practice that treats you not just as a patient, but as a person, and prioritizes your health with the utmost care, Lockstown Practice is the place to go. They saved my life, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Thank you, Lockstown Practice. I owe you everything.

Great doctors, came to them when i was having trouble with next door, took them 30 seconds to sort out something that took the croft 18 months to sort out and still get it wrong. For Asthma it's the best surgery i have used, doctors are always friendly, Nurses i have seen are friendly, Only 1 bad thing and that's 5 weeks for a doctors appointment. Other than that a Really helpful Surgery run professionally which is something very few doctors surgery can say nowadays.

Would give zero if that was an option. Firstly I must say I have no problem with the doctors at this practise, we have always received good care from them! However when you have to deal with anyone else at this surgery it’s just so draining and always such a drama! Getting an appointment is a joke! Trying to explain a request or concern is like going round in circles, they want to know every detail but then answer with “Well I’m not medicall trained” We don’t visit the doctors very often thankfully but will definitely be moving surgeries.

Just called them, receptionist wasn't helpful. I spent all night in pain, my skin hurts, chest hurts throat hurts and I'm working tomorrow. She said at 8:20 there are no more appointments available. And to try Monday. I visit gp once per 2 years and this is what they tell me... then she hanged up. I will see if they can be reported to NHS what I'm supposed to do now?

One of the worst doctor surgery around here They have no sense of time keeping and do not prioritise baby appointments. They feel it’s acceptable to allow for a baby to be left waiting in reception for over a hour. They change appointment times without telling us and lie about their communication. The doctors when you get to them are competent although their front of house let this surgery down big time.

Disappointed. I hardly ever call the surgery and called at exactly 8am this morning and waited fifteen minutes on hold. Explained to the receptionist that I think I have a chest infection but I’m at work all day so it’s difficult for me to take a call, she replied I can call out of hours at 10am I explained I can’t once again because I’m at work. She then suggested I attend urgent care after work so I asked for a phone call today to which she replied no that’s why I’ve just given you the out of hours number we are full to capacity today. I’m disappointed to give this review as I appreciate the pressure the staff are under with demand but I felt the manner of the receptionist was pretty blunt and unhelpful. She didn’t even explain regarding the extended hours I had to ask her what it actually was. Pity the manager cannot listen back to the call and advise there staff how to manage calls more effectively.

I would give this practice less than 1 star if I could. Absolutely shambolic they never see you. The counter staff especially Liz is rude and laughs at people when they are in severe stress. They never ask the urgency of the call and just say they cannot accommodate.

The GPs themselves here are great. Never had an issue with them but the admin staff are terrible. They can’t send off basic referrals and after ringing them several times to check, they still couldn’t fix it. Don’t trust them to do anything for you because they’re useless. They all need to be replaced, the practice manager too.
