    A lovely place for a riverside walk, horses in the fields. Lots of birdsong to hear. Masses of nature to see. If you’re quiet and observant you might see a heron or two or even the kingfisher, They’re all here !!!!

    Due to weir on River this lock is wrong side of the river for the pub. Good to get water for the Narrowboat.

    Great example of a working lock. It's Lock No1 on the Kennet & Avon navigation so must be important. It's on private land though and you can't get to the 2 pubs over the weir.

    Very pretty but not very accessible. My visit was to view the old keepers house that was going for auction. Better the Harnham side of the river.

    Going on to auction soon. Beautiful corner of the river looking at the lock. The house is a bit run down at the moment but has lots of potential. Looking forward to it’s transformation in a good new owner’s hand!

    Water point is just before the lock on the left hand side up towards the house. A pleasant lock to spend an hour or two waiting for a tree to be cleared from the river downstream!
