   Tyres were 4 days late from the booking I made. I’d to take two half days off from work to get them fitted. Instead of one. I don’t use Kwik Fit because the aggressive upselling grates me. This time was no different.

   First time I booked with them a week before my appointment just to change over my new alloys, the guy who was really helpful said I wasn't in the book but they weren't busy, he tried an hour to fit them but the bolts were too long. So I offered him payment but he said there was no charge as he only attempted the two wheels. So I got new bolts ordered and phoned for a new appointment, originally the 3rd of Jan, realising soon after I was working I recalled and rebooked for 30th Dec at 10. When I arrived I was told I wasn't in the book for the 3rd or the 30th! So after arranging a new appointment for 4 that day I left. But incompetence really annoys me, so I ended just picking up the wheels and leaving. Fellow with the skinhead was a decent guy, the boss seemed dull and not interested in life, and I knew it was him who took the bookings as I'd recognise that slow drawl anywhere.

   Having booked my appointment and paid for my tyres on the Kwik Fit on-line booking system, I was happy with the convenience and speed of the appointment. When making the appointment. I ticked the box for a FREE alignment check. As it was a nice morning I hung about outside while the tyres were being fitted and when the tyres were fitted the fitter proceeded to carry out the alignment check. when he had done this, he called me over and informed me one of the front wheels was slightly out and asked me if I wanted it corrected. I said I did, and he informed me it would cost £54.97. I stood and watched as he conducted the re-alignment which took no more than 2-3 minutes before he was lowering my vehicle from the ramp. Having just paid £916.50 for four new tyres I was not very happy (given the alignment check was supposedly free) about paying £54.97 for 2-3 mins work. I would add that the staff at the branch were very courteous, and the tyres were fitted in a very timely fashion.
