   I would fully recommend Yavor at pitstop recovery.    Under no circumstances will I ever leave another car or gearbox with this man for repair. After several misdiagnosis and expensive parts replaced unnecessarily, it has cost £6,194.28 to repair the automatic gearbox in my 2018 Nissan Juke. 16th October 2024. In response to the reply from Yavor (owner): My information is accurate. I paid Pitstop Recovery Ltd £3,500.30. This was mostly for replacing unnecessary parts, due to his first three diagnosis being incorrect. The other £2,693.98 was for parts I sourced and the cost of removing and fitting the gearbox, more times than should have been necessary. And in the interest of further accuracy: when I arrived to collect my car, Yavor could not get it started. He tried again and again, had his diagnostic equipment attached, but still it would not fire. He was trying to remove a fuel pipe to test further, but was unable to move it. I pointed to clues that the fuel gauge was reading empty, the fuel light was flashing and that the trip meter read ‘zero miles until empty’. He disagreed that it could be out of fuel because he had put 30 litres in the tank and only travelled a 3 mile journey to test the gearbox. (Part of my £3,500.30 bill was £60 for petrol. Yes, that equates to £2.00 per litre.) Again I suggested we put some fuel in the tank, since he could provide no other options. Despite his further disagreement, I drove to Ballygowan and bought some more fuel. I returned, poured 6 litres into my Nissan, pushed the button and it started immediately. I asked several times where the 30 litres of extortionately priced fuel had gone and Yavor could not give any explanation. Nor did he seem bothered. He simply shrugged his shoulders and refused to reduce his bill.

   Telephoned to make an enquiry / booking for an auto gearbox service on an Audi. A3. Furnished owner with photographs and serial numbers etc to ascertain costs and work involved. Owner returned my call and spoke at length to advise this would not be required given my gearbox in question was a sealed unit and as was not posing any issues servicing would not be required. Impressed by honesty and effort to call back to explain. Worthy of some recognition hence my review.
