Absolutely brilliant day out. Granddaughters age 5, 3 & 2yrs old all really enjoyed themselves. Get to feed the goats and touch them and the sheep. Really lovely staff here too. All the animals here have been rescued from cruel owners so some are a little timid. Stopped and had a little picnic then the girls got to play in the kids okay area for an hour or so, then it was ice cream time. Extremely good prices to get in and Ice creams are not that expensive either. Will most definitely be going back again very soon, this time with the dogs as they also have a dog trail to walk along. Dog water bowls are available spotted around on the floor in places.

Great couple of hours spent feeding the sheep and looking at different animals and birds.

A fantastic place to visit and walk around to get away from people and noise. Definitely a real change from the top half of the reserve where there really isn't anywhere to go and is all overgrown. The south part of the reserve is so much different, with many pathways leading you through all of the reserve, and many little pathways through the trees, and you can even follow a brook for quite some distance. Came here at 6.30 at night and only managed to stay about an hour before it got too dark, but you could easily spend a few hours here to see it all. Didn't see a single other person when I was there. It's not an easy place to get to however, as it's very difficult to get down here from the valley north part, with all pathways overgrown with nettles and such, and the road downwards is a country road with no pathways. To get to the south part, you have to go to the side streets around the bottom of the reserve, which aren't easy to get to if you're walking there. I drove here the night I visited, but you have to park on small residential roads and then walk up. Definitely worth the effort to get there though, just be careful when walking after it's been raining, as it gets very slippery there, especially on the side paths through the trees.

Kids enjoyed it and all the animals are so friendly and could be fed. Nice food in cafe. Had a nice couple of hours there. Dogs are welcome too!! Only small so not loads of walking to do and there's a nice outdoor play area for the kids. Will definitely be returning.

unfortunately Cotwall End isn't what it was many years ago. It's now looking very tired and in need of a lot of work. Walking around were found the paths quiet difficult in places for a wheelchair and exhibits needed cleaning and a basic bit of DIY. Parking prices are pricey here for a local nature reserve. If you're in a manual wheelchair make sure your shoulders need a workout.
