   This salon is amazing. I was stuck in a rutt using a well known city centre salon having the same cut and highlights I had for years. I told a friend I was bored with always being given the same cut and colour even when I asked for a change. A friend whose hair always looked fabulous suggested I try Emma at Chess. That was 3 years ago and I wish I had gone there sooner. On my first visit Emma gave me the confidence to try something new and still today always gets my cut and colour just right.. no matter what the request. She always gently dissuades me if she thinks I've come up with a bad idea and always encourages me to try a better option. I know she gets it right because I'm often complimented on how lovely my hair looks and asked where I go. I trust her implicitly and have never been happier with how my hair looks and feels. Now I really look forward to my salon visits and it's as if my hair is being cut by a great friend who makes me a cup of tea, chats easily along with me, as well as giving me a great haircut and styling. A 5 star service that I would definitely recommend.⭐
