   Back in 2018, Szczepan and his crew did a big job for us - cleaning paint off the brickwork on the front of our terraced house, replacing bricks as necessary and re-pointing the lot. To a man they were kind, courteous, considerate and their work first rate. Seven years later, our house is still the best looking one on the block (many people say so)! A few weeks ago, two bricks broke (our fault, not Szczepan's workmanship) and needed to be replaced. We called Szczepan, he came to have a look and although it was a tiny job for a very busy firm, Lukas came today to fix the problem. I can't recommend SJ Pointing more highly. They are trustworthy, take great care and pride in their work and do a fantastic job. I would never use anyone else.

   Szczepan and his team were recommended to us for the quality of their work and we have been delighted with the outcome. We needed our house re-pointing included all of our garden walls and the project has been split over the last two summers. The attention to detail is exceptional and we were genuinely surprised at the amount of preparation required to rake out and prepare the brickwork before the pointing could commence. Likewise the cleaning and dressing afterwards has produced an exceptional finish which looks superb. There will be companies that offer to do the job cheaper but if you need the comfort of knowing that you your successors in the property and many others beyond them wont need to worry about the pointing then Szczepan and his company are the ones you can rely upon.

   Szczepan and his team have recently completed (April 2023) a project at my Victorian house in south-west London. The scope involved the removal of 3 coats of brick paint and raking out of the old mortar before being beautifully finished with a flush-pointed traditional lime mortar Szczepan provides a premium-level service in all respects. His knowledge and expertise assisting with decision making as the project progressed. His attention to detail is acute and all work is completed to a superior standard. The team are very hard working and committed to their professional service. Care was taken at all times to avoid damage to my home. The site was cleaned down at the end of each day and consideration given to neighbouring properties. The price paid was exactly as quoted - no hidden costs with full transparency. The result of the work done by SJ Pointer has been transformational. I would happily recommend Szczepan and his team to anyone considering undertaking brick restoration work.

   S.J.Pointer removed a double layer of pebbledash and render from my Late Victorian terraced house and can highly recommend them. The brickwork under the pebbledash had been damaged when it was put on and they did an excellent job of restoring the original features. They have expert knowledge on restoring period houses and offered us advice over the course of the project on brick restoration, mortar and pointing. We wanted to not have the old brick cut right back to give it a more natural finish and they offer a highly technical sandblasting option instead of just grinding the brick back, leaving a much more natural look and creating far less dust. They have a wide choice of mortar types / colours and finishes and use heritage techniques in the mix and colouring of the mortar. We had lime mortar with small pebbles which was the original type used with a slight yellow colour to age it slightly, pointed flush to the bricks and the results are excellent. The team was tidy and friendly and I am very happy with their work, photos below.
