   York City 03/02/2024 From what was a good day out with my 10 year old son turned into a fiasco and distress. Shire travels driver as pictured has no regard for adhering to parking rules nor respect or curtsy for other road users. Pictured driver as seen had parked in unmarked bays, obstructing traffic. When I asked him to moved the coach so I could manoeuvre my vehicle out, he blatantly refused, as he was taking ‘his break’. I asked a few times from the outside of his vehicle which he ignored, he the half heartedly attempted to talk to me from his side window which he reluctantly opened when I attempted to open the side door. During all of this he saw my son became agitated and worried but their driver seemed to have no regard for his feelings, infact I’d say he was gloating. The angle of my parked vehicle, which, was parked correctly was difficult to reverse out as Shire Travels driver had blocked me in. When I again asked politely for him to move he refused. He did give me instructions on how to move out in a manor that would or could cause damage to my vehicle or other vehicles. He then questioned if I had paid for my parking, which my 5 hour paid ticket was displayed in the front screen. I tried on a few occasions to politely ask him to move which he blatantly ignored me and continued to read his paper. Only after 10 minutes did the driver from Shire Travel move his coach AND this was only because as you’ll see from the picture he had blocked a 2nd vehicle in which was a National express coach. My son was worried throughout this as a young child would be, I was unable to calm him down as the driver had closed his door and wouldn’t acknowledge me after my first request, I find this totally unprofessional and irresponsible. I strongly advise against using this company especially after having spoken to management and having had no response after 2 weeks. Video available to prove and validate my statement on request.

   Used this company to pick a group of us up early for a flight. They were there earlier than us and picked us up promptly on the way home too! Coach was clean and comfy, would 100% recommend and use again.
