Michael has been my dentist for more decades than I care to admit, but when an infection meant I had to get a tooth extracted the week after a recent visit, I dreaded the prospect. No need! Michael, and deadpanning nurse Leah, kept me relaxed and in stitches of laughter throughout, and the tooth was out before I realised he had even started the procedure. Fantastic dentist, and we are very lucky to have him in Glengormley.

I have been attending MA Irwin Dental for the past 20 years and as a very nervous patient I am put at ease, Michael is a great dentist, would highly recommend.

I have never written a bad review in my life but feel compelled to do so after my experience today! Having written an email to document my dissapointment at a £80 (yes £80!!) charge for missing an appointment, I recieved a call from the 'practice manager' who wanted to know what my email was 'all about'. Before I had the chance to respond, I was subjected to a tirade of abuse which involved being called a 'child', a 'brat' and patronised because I now 'no longer a dentist'. The 'practice manager' then hung up the phone. I have genuinely never been spoken to in such a manner and was completely shaken for a couple of hours after. I would implore anyone to do their own research on this practice - the Google reviews do not document this as an isolated incident. Thankfully this 'child' is an adult with kids of his own. I can only imagine how an actual child or even worse an elderly patient would feel after this experience.

Mr Irwin is an extremely good dentist in my experience. I have attended for some decades. However I recently missed a private routine appt due to a sudden emergency in work. The 1st time this has happened. I was happy to forfeit financially for this. However I felt overwhelmed and bullied by the “how dare I” response of the practice manager: via phone and in writing via email. The content of the response email to my concerns regarding her approach, was personally abusive and unprofessional. And I was basically told to take my business elsewhere. I wish Mr Irwin all the best and I regret this turn of events.

After being informed I was no longer a patient at this practice, I asked to speak to the practice manager. She was rude and condescending. She interrupted and berated me down the phone and when I tried to speak she actually shushed me. She then hung up. I sat in shock at how poor this service was.

I am not sure why you have suggested that I am a patient of yours and you would see me again soon. I am not a patient and my family had a very unpleasant experience with your practice as you are well aware. Please remove this unfounded response. Thank you.
