   Pushy sales person. Booked a design appointment for this weekend. They rang today saying there were no displays at this store and tried their very best to push for a home visit. They then advised I could go to the other store in Daybrook. They couldt do the appointment at Daybrook as he had an appointment then......but they could however attend my house on Saturday. I cancelled the appointment.

   Had a bathroom design consultant come out for a home visit on 19th September 2025. He said I would receive my quote around 5 days later and I'm still waiting. The work is for an elderly disabled relative, so I think they thought they could charge for work that didn't really need doing, to make as much as possible. The babbling young lad obviously out for as much commission as he could make, didn't realise he was actually trying to con a qualified tradesman who had power of attorney. This company is a waste of time and out for easy prey in my opinion. Watch out if you are old, disabled and vulnerable and make sure you have a witness present so they can't try to con you. Wickes are extremely quick to answer a bad and truthful review I will add.

   Today I went looking for some plastic roof covering and I wasn't disappointed I came to this store. I drive a large truck towing a plant trailer and found there was ample space in the car park for me to park. The store is set out in an easy to use way, and the checkout was very quick. I would happily visit this shop again in the future.

   Terrible customer service - I may be unfairly judging this particular Wickes based on my one and only visit but the person that served me yesterday is, in my opinion, in desperate need of some very basic customer service training. I won't be returning to this shop.

   Not sure how your staff survive in this environment it’s so stuffy no airflow everything on the shelves has a layer of dust my girlfriend who suffers with asthma had to get out the building before we had finished shopping. That said the varnish we were after was £6 cheaper than another DIY store just down the road. But seriously you need some doors open at the other end of the store so some air can get through the building.

   I checked the sand for the sandbox on the site and the local was missing. I drove 50 miles for the sand in the stock was 63 pcs. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any sand. The staff tried to find out where he was and I was informed that he was gone, but today it will be. Embarrassment of the shop and treatment of the customer. What do the stocks state on the website for? For the sand to be bright for the sandbox, it could not be bought online with collection, which I also consider a very big lack. My local Wickes Worksop is even more embarrassing !!! I do not recommend anyone !!!
