Due to move to the CLQ soon so I'll write a review on this campus. I have been here since September of 2024 on the Digital Support Services T-Level. Overall, bar some exceptions, the staff are exceptional, and the environment is very chill yet very encouraging. Given my specific set of needs, the college is not especially accommodating. They accommodate for those who require extra exam time however support for those with ASD or similar varies. In particular, my condition makes me very sensitive to the presence of fire alarms. The college's solution to that? Make me walk to a toilet all the way in the sports block. Sure, it's good cardio, but really? It's a pain to deal with, especially if your stomach is dodgy on that day. Some staff are also not the best, I will not name names but they are known for dragging out things that do not need to be dragged out, misunderstanding things, and being needlessly painful to deal with. Bar those two issues I have detailed excruciatingly, the college is okay. Very easy to get to if you are based in/around Bilston though the walk is desolate.

Very bad, asked the receptionist about the security job. Barely helped me with anything and the security role got filled up at the end. A complete waste of time go there, might as well paid for my fuel.⛽️ Also came here few years ago and its very bad environment not worth even thinking about coming here. Best option just pay extra go do private courses which is more flexible and better than coming somewhere you get annoyed everyday.

The most worst college to study beauty therapy course, the course was not enjoyable at all, there was so much bullying and manipulation by other students which I had suffered, that I had to voice my voice and im proud I did, as I shouldn't be bullied or distracted by anyone at all. On this course they waste so much time on a Thursday afternoon, which is half a lesson wasted, where students were learning about british vaules and other boring subjects, which are uneccessary, and makes you yawn. Students agreed they would rather do practical assessments instead. The way they handle complaints is very unprofessional, and they are unbothered, to them, you are a number, not a student. So much distraction too, by other students, who bullied me as a adult student, here no one is listening to you, if you try to discuss what is bothering you, tutors are trained not to ask or get involved with student complaints or reply to your emails, which can leave the student feeling unwelcomed and uncomfortable at the college, as you are going through a stressful time all on your own, so you have no one to talk too, accept management, which is absolutely useless. Students were not even wearing their uniforms ready for the September start, For a good three months, I found this very unprofessional and unorganised as a college. I, along with other students, were filling in multiple forms at the hub downstairs, as hub staff would lose your application forms and make you fill in another form again. Overall, I would not recommend City of Wolverhampton college at all, I have studied at both campuses, and I have always had problems at both campuses. I strongly believe they don't even bother reading your complaints, and they are deleted and infact not read. Both campuses need investigating. New staff is definitely needed, no point moving to a new building and having the same staff, that are uncompassionate and unprofessional, this college needs big changes in order to become successful. Beauty thearpy course manager is very unprofessional, unbothered, and uncompassionate. The receptionist is very rude over the phone. The college needs a new receptionist.

Awful experience. Rude employees on front/reception and walking around the corridor. As a visitor, I felt extremely put out and had to experience the coldest reception from the staff. I never known an education establishment like this college. I will not be recommending this college to anyone. You have no right to look your nose down on anyone- candidates, learners, families, and the general public. You should be ashamed as yourself.

The college stopped a mentally challenged child from playing football and they kicked him out for protesting against it. One of the worst colleges I've ever seen and been to.

Some tutors around the college are way nicer then others but don’t recommend doing level 3 early years if you want to enjoy college . As main tutor isn’t approachable and belittling to teenagers as well as immature by in directing things at certain students which isn’t really professional as a grown woman especially when your teaching ey. The tutor says how high up she is and how she makes decisions whether your going to pass (this is not the case) so lying to students as-well , some tutors need to work on how they act and treat their students would recommend Walsall or dudley college instead !

Have been trying to organise hire of the sports hall at Bilston for weeks now and no-one seems to be able to tell me if/when the hall is available. I've contacted them dozens of times by phone, email, website and multiple times in person and am yet to get a useful response from anyone. This is despite staff taking my number on multiple occasions and saying that the person in charge of booking will call me back (I also have this persons name, number and email address - which bounces back btw - if anyone else from the company is interested in why no-one is booking your facilities). It sounds like unless you are in the college basketball team they don't want to know. Very frustrating and disappointing for somewhere offering a service to the community.

For an adult learner I have had a good experience here, helpful tutor, lots of good facilities such as library and study hub. Computers in library need updating and range of books for my subject could be broader but they are located at other campus which I can also access. Also there is a Starbucks there ☕️

Great at conning people into taking a course that does not benefit them in anyway. Great at ignoring potential learners. Great at confusing learners. Great at leaving people guessing. Excellent at bad customer services. Most (not all) staff in the student hub are awful at their job and don't know their bottom from their elbow. Could not organise a drunken night in a brewery. Actually one of the worst places for customer services I've ever been. They do have the odd tutor that is good but unfortunately not enough to make up for the complete lack of knowledge and expertise. APPLY TO DUDLEY OR WALSALL. YOU WILL BE MUCH BETTER OFF.
