Studying here at the moment its horrible. Tried to get exempt from maths and english resits (I resat may times before) for mental health reasons and the college wont allow me because of money. The college doesnt care about students health only money but they have allowed 16-17 year not resit yet i am 19. The college needs to sort itself out.

My experience with Walsall College was incredibly upsetting, mainly due to the lack of support and poor communication. When help was needed, it felt like no one was willing to listen or take responsibility. Situations were handled badly, and instead of properly investigating or speaking directly, it felt like decisions were made unfairly and without understanding the full story. I witnessed someone being removed from their course in a way that felt completely unjust, despite it not being their fault. Rather than addressing the issue honestly, it seemed like excuses were repeatedly made, and instead of the actual people involved explaining themselves, another teacher was sent to speak on their behalf. This made the whole situation feel dishonest and unprofessional. Communication was consistently poor, with confusing messages and no clear answers. Instead of resolving problems, they were ignored or brushed aside. The way the situation was handled showed a serious lack of accountability and care for students. Overall, the experience felt unfair, stressful, and deeply disappointing. A college should support its students, not make them feel blamed, ignored, or pushed out.someone was getting harassed and they didn’t do anything about this they ignored this and did not supsended the person that was harassing me and a security guard grabbed and twisted the student arm and the teacher just stood there watching it happen Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone coming any time Charlotte wood and the rest of her management team

I studied Games Art here from 2023-25. The college itself, I'd give it 5 stars. Facilities are great, food there is good, always loved the breakfast there. I've never had a problem with any of the other students, they've always been nice. Tutors have always been nice and helpful too. Art teachers there, I specifically want to name Ros, she was very kind and helpful, our class absolutely loved her. The course itself though, was poorly structured imo. We were meant to have specific teachers, but they didnt show up in the 2nd year, so we didn't get to do the 3D element of the course until the last month or two of the course. We had to work on multiple projects at once and they were all lengthy, requiring so much work that we'd barely have free time at home. Some students didn't really like how the work was explained - it was explained in a confusing way. And others had quite a few complaints about our main tutor. I heard the from a student that was enrolled on the course the year before us, that their class had the same problems, and the current 2nd years have the same problems too. Just something to keep in mind with the Games Art course. I also heard from the current second year's that they just cancelled the course for the first years for some reason?? So the current first year's were sent to a different course if they still stayed. What a mess. I do still think that Walsall College is good for people that are looking into art-related courses. Art students here have always been sweet and kind. Other reviewers have had problems on their courses, and I've had friends and family on other courses that had a horrible time at WC. If you're looking at Childcare courses, mechanics or anything like that, chances are you'll get put into classes with people who are insufferable.

Terrible place where the higher ups doesn't care about it's students. My daughter worked hard for a year and a half to get on the course she wanted to do. A week into the course those in charge scrapped it so everyone on it is now stuck in limbo as the year has already started or they have to jump on a course they don't want to do and catch up. Shameful behavior. If you get the chance make sure your kids go somewhere else.

Absolutely diabolic service. Enquired for an evening welding course. Only to be told they'll schedule an interview. Recieved an email 3 days later saying they no longer do interviews and just attend enrollment. I'm actually making a formal complaint to because the service and standard has been nothing but inadequate.
