As an ex student from Rodbaston College. I can easily say that this is the worst college for students with S.E.N.D (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Most teachers are rude, no care in the world whatsoever with only a very selected few that bother to help. I have a best friend who is currently at this college and I shall not be naming. She’s got Autism etc and is really struggling with it all because of teachers complaining at her and just giving up with her. She’s got to the point now where she’s scared to go into college everyday! How on earth this college has SEN courses available is absolutely shocking. Awful college, with awful staff who have NO TRAINING WHAT SO EVER !!!! It’s so bad that I completely quit the course early due to my mental health plummeting. RODBASTON COLLEGE HAS FAILED ME !!!!! Disgusting behaviour from SSC!!

I wouldn't bother here if your child has special education needs. I explained everything do with my son, his needs. They told its fine they can offer him place motor vehicle. Gone to enrol my son today, to be told, he cant do it, he hasn't got the grades to go on the gate way motor vehicle course. That is at entre level 3, that my son has got. They want my son to do another course for 1 to 2 years to get his grades up. But then they said if his grades didn't go then there isn't a course for him. But it also states they can help the child Longside the course with that. But that has been offered. RODBASTON COLLEGE has already FAILED my son and he hasn't started. And it's right at the end of August what are we meant to do now. It's a good thing my brother told me about the college he went to, and how they helped him. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE WHO HAS SPECIAL EDUCATION NEEDS. I THINK THE COLLEGE TRIES TO MAKE YOU DO IT THAT WAY TO GET MORE FUNDING.

Don't even bother if you have a Sen child applying for this college. We was warned by a few people how badly they treat young adults with sen.which is awful. Can't believe how 2 people who are incharge of the sen department speak down to you. Especially the woman with the long blonde hair and she even said she's got a daughter who's autistic so she should know better and to treat a child who's trying to better themselves like they are nothing. Degrading them and making them feel so worthless. You should be so ashamed of yourselves. How these people get these jobs is beyond me.and how this college still has their Sen courses is an utter joke. Needs a massive clear out of staff and introducing ones who have compassion and knowing how to treat and work with people with learning difficulties.

Heard a recording of staff staying to a student "why bother, you not going to make it" awful way to deal with a child that is sen. Staff need training on how to speak to people

Signed up for an access to HE course and an information session call was scheduled, I got reminders too, and didn't receive a call from anyone. Called to reschedule and got another date, but again, I got no call from anyone, no email, nothing. I understand if something went wrong the first time, but to forget twice is saying something. Will be going to another college. At least the person I spoke to on the phone to reschedule seemed nice, but still, it's a really bad reflection on their abilities and organization to miss twice.

I started a course last year in May. When I started the lady didn't know I had applied to do the course. I did not get told what I needed to have with me as in equipment. I also did not get told I needed a placement before the course started. If I did not have a placement I can't carry on which is shocking. I tried to get my money back and they said no. I have said to people don't apply to do a course there. It is bad!

Southstaffs Lichfield went out of their way to support my child's learning and facilitate the best options for her. The staff are passionate, hard-working and dedicated to their pupils' progress.

I came here for two years and I never learnt anything. I got bullied there but the teachers didn’t do much about it they would only tell them of and that’s it. I think the teachers were rubbish they would only blame me for everything. I wouldn’t recommend this college to anyone I’m so glad I left the college because my mental health was getting bad every day and I was sick of the teachers blaming me all the time also if you have a autistic child don’t send them to this college.
