Decided on this as a venue for my 70th birthday karaoke party - so glad I did. The room was perfect, the bar well stocked and the food wonderful - catering also for my vegan and gluten-free guests. We had the most brilliant time. Many thanks to Vicky and her team.
From start to finish Vicki made the process of arranging our mums wake , very easy . Good quality food , lovely clean venue . Plenty of bar staff . Would recommend this venue for any event .
Vikki and the team at Gladstone Lodge hosted our wedding reception. From the setting up to the late end to the night they were so accommodating of our requests, with nothing being too much trouble. We booked an early afternoon and then evening event with different catering for each and all the food was amazing. Our guests praised the quality and variety of all the food, with multiple dietary preferences catered for - and there was plenty of good quality food to support those preferences. The drinks prices are very reasonable and affordable, especially compared with your usual wedding event space. Thank you to all of the team for helping to make our reception such a special and memorable experience.
Went to a surprise party first time Been here .Easy to find ,good space for dancing had an extension that was easy to close off and open if busy .Only fault I found was bar area small although there was enough bar staff so queue wasn't a problem .Toilets were easily accessible.and clean .All in all was a good place for an occasion.
Really excellent food. We were a large group and the food all arrived hot and quickly. We'll done. Looking forward to trying a Sunday roast.
Had our mum's wake at Gladstone Lodge. From first contact to leaving the venue the service has been amazing. The food was so fresh and plenty full and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you, would highly recommend.
I have to admit this was my first visit to this place ....and it far surpassed my expectations. I expected it to be quite dark (due to lack of windows), but the decor is bright, creating a great look and feel. I was attending a wedding reception and have to say, the food was superb. There was more than enough for everyone. Seating was not an issue either as plenty of tables. Drinks are reasonably priced, and the owners are extremely friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend foe those looking for a party venue.
Function room available to hire for parties, events and family gatherings. Located on Market Street just off the main road of South Street. There is limited parking on the road in front of the property, but there is a large car park on South Street which you can walk through to get to Gladstone Lodge, 2 minutes walk if thar. Very easy access for pushchairs, wheelchairs and people with mobility issues as only small step from the pavement.
Been here for a few parties. Small room with good sound equipment, friendly staff and a great atmosphere, when the party gets going. There is parking nearby rather than on the street outside. The inside has just been extended to hold more party guests but it's L shaped so some guests can't see the acts on the small stage
