We have had both pieces of furniture for a really long time and they were looking very tired. Ally visited our home for a consultation and had a great conversation about pattern and colours. I recently attended one of Ally's workshops and it was so much fun! I love trying new DIY and up cycling projects around the house but I had a particular piece of furniture that I really wanted to do justice to as it was left to me by a family member and therefore had a lot of sentimental value. So I decided learning from a pro was the best of both worlds - a beautiful up-cycled piece and a new skill all at once. Ally was incredibly helpful and patient with the whole group and took her time to make sure we were all doing everything properly. I didn’t quite manage to finish my full project in the time as I had been quite ambitious but Ally gave me all the kit I needed to finish off at home and in the end I only needed an extra couple of hours for the finishing touches. I feel very proud of my little set of drawers and they’re in pride of place on my bedside table. Ally was also great in the run up to the workshop by helping me to come up with a design idea for my project. I would definitely recommend taking part in one of Ally’s workshops - they are fun, relaxing space for learning new skills and making amazing pieces of artwork for your home.
I attended one of Ally's Paint Like A Pro workshops and absolutely loved it! I'm not a restorer/painter/interiors enthusiast at all but just fancied treating myself to a day doing something different. And I'm so glad I did. Ally was patient and super helpful as I got my head around the skills she taught. There was enough time for us to finish the project too which I loved, it was great to go home with a finished product that I feel so proud of! I'd contacted her initially to say I was keen but had no furniture that I could paint, and she reassured me that she had lots in storage that I could choose from, and she then sent me photos of some options. So if you fancy it but have nothing to paint, don't let this put you off! All in all, a relaxed, fun workshop where I learned new skills and came home with something I'm really proud to have in my home! Thankyou Ally!
Ally has made my rather sad pieces into beautiful and wondrous pieces! I try to be an ethical consumer and try not to buy new. Even if I had, I would not have such bespoke, perfect furniture. I just can't stop touching them! Thanks Ally.
We absolutely love our blanket box, lovingly restored by Ally! This piece of furniture was in really poor condition, but of huge sentimental value to us as a family. Ally spent lots of time talking us through different options and providing visuals, so we knew what was possible. Her eye for design is amazing - the blanket box retains lots of its old charm, but with a beautiful and unique new finish which has made it a real feature in our home. Love it, thank you Ally!
I recently went to Ally's paint a tray workshop for a relaxing thing to do with my sister, well this was perfect. We spent the afternoon catching up and chatting with some lovely people over teas and coffees while preparing, painting and finishing our beautiful trays. The whole afternoon was perfect, Ally is so friendly and approachable, taking pride in teaching, guiding and helping us create the idealist look we all wanted with no experience. The session was well thoughtout and planned to the last T making small things like a change of a paint brush effortless. She even mixed another paint, on top of the vast selection she already had, just so we could have a certain colour in our tray. Well done Ally, your workshop did not disappoint I look forward to the next one!
I cannot recommend Ally enough. We commissioned her to to restore 4 pieces of bedroom furniture and bring up to date 4 fitted wardrobes doors which were completely fine practically but faded and needed some TLC after many years of use. Ally really took an interest in the whole look of the room and how the pieces of furniture would work and compliment the entire look. One particular piece was a show stopper with a gorgeous finish on the top. All the work was undertaken with real care and attention to detail. Ally works really hard and really has the customer’s interest at heart. We now have some beautiful unique pieces that fit perfectly with our room design and we are so pleased with the end result. We were so happy we have asked Ally to come back and look at another piece. I would say if you have a piece of furniture that you think has plenty of life left in it but is dated or needs some restoration Ally is the ideal person to contact. You won’t be disappointed, she’s a true professional and loves her job so much it shows in her work.
