It is completely unethical to place what are effectively “slot machines” in a children’s soft play area. I will not be attending any more parties here because instead of actually playing the children are just constantly accosting parents for money to use in these machines. What’s worse is that some of the machines are “chance”, which means they don’t even get the teeny tiny packet of sweets that are dangled in front of their eyes when they put their £1 in the slot. Daylight robbery! You obviously know what you’re doing as a money making operation but that doesn’t mean I have to agree with it. We won’t be back here again.

Food took 45 mins to arrive after I ordered it at 10.30am on a quiet Tuesday morning and I had to go looking for it. I didn't realize you now have to pre-book so I was told to book online even though I was first there and no queue. Was trying to book online which took ages as the signal is so crap, with a two year old who just wanted to play and was getting impatient and I'm 6-months pregnant ..not ideal!! Felt uncomfortable that staff linger round making sure you're following all the rules, honestly felt like I was back in primary school and was scared to make a mistake. Even bought my daughter a fruit shoot even though I had a bottle of juice in the bag in case we got shouted at. Won't be back, pretty hostile environment with some nice staff but others look down on you.

I was humiliated at Happy Town I had occasion to visit recently with my two grandchildren . I ordered food at 1 pm and by 2 pm still no food arrived . I was aware it was Halloween break but an hour waiting with hungry children seemed rediculous . I spoke to staff who asked me for my receipt ( I wasn’t given one) I was then asked could I contact my card company ( I’ve never had to do this before , so haven’t a clue how to) they eventually discovered that my food had gone to the wrong table and said sorry . On leaving the play zone I was called to the food service area ( I’m now thinking ‘ oh someone is going to tell me how sorry they are this happened and perhaps offer me a voucher for food next time) but no!! In front of other staff I was subjected to a lecture on how my 4 yo grandson was too close to the exit area gate and if he had ran past someone exiting it wasn’t the staff responsibility to run after children if they run into the road ! She asked ‘ are you the grandmother’ I said I was and she said he’s ur responsibility then!! I was mortified as other staff were there and stopped to listen . My grandson was at the gate for a few minutes having said goodbye to his little friend before we ourselves left . I am a grandmother not a 10 yo child and as such I can take advice not a lecture and certainly not in front of others earshot . I am a constant visitor but I won’t be back again

Absolutely amazing wee place. My daughter had the best time for her birthday. If you’re looking for somewhere affordable, relaxed and enjoyable to throw your child’s birthday I recommend it over and over. Such attentive and lovely staff. Loads of room - and what’s best about it that it’s not crammed because of the size of the building and the size of party rooms. AMAZING. Thank you so much Happy Town we will be back very very soon ❤️ 100/10

Nice play area and party place for kids. The play area is sorted according to children’s age and with plenty of space for kids to run around. The party rooms are big enough. Kids had a lovely time!

Fantastic place to bring the kids! Only been here for the first time today and we loved it. Massive open space for the kids to run about and isn't too busy and crowded. There is loads for the kiddies to do and there is great entertainment on the stage aswell. The place is really clean and tidy and the staff are lovely. Got a bit of food aswell and it was really tasty. Will definitely be back here again soon.

We go here all the time, As a family of five its one day out that has remained affordable. We have had my sons 8th birthday here in the last few days and we couldnt have asked for more. Friendly helpful staff, very clean, lovely food and great brews

Happy Town is the best play area for children of all ages around by a long shot.. The atmosphere is exciting and welcoming and the children are so happy to go there. This has all happened to come about since the new Manager has taken over I lift my glass to her for doing such a terrific job

We take our 5 year old grandson here regularly. Super place. Always kept very clean and the staff at front desk and the cafe are really lovely. The food in cafe is very nice. We can sit and enjoy a coffee whilst he plays. We've booked his birthday party here for January. The party packages are terrific too. All in all, its well worth the visit. Reasonably priced too compared to other local children's play areas.

Had our daughter's birthday party here. All the party rooms were booked up so we just visited as normal paying guests. We weren't allowed to bring a birthday cake and we were asked twice when we were there if we had brought any (which we hadn't). The kids had a really good time and not having a party room booked didn't impact our visit, we just gave them party bags after and took them to Burger King
