   Outstanding customer service in this world of mediocrity. From start to finish it was a pleasure to work with Designer workshop. Tang was excellent at helping me make the correct choices to complement my deco club chair. The level of workmanship is outstanding and flawless. I chose a distressed leather with a tweed cushion cover. The materials used are of the highest quality. Designer Workshop offered great value for money. They were spot on schedule with the exquisite work they did in this restoration. The chair is outstandingly comfortable and a true eye catcher. I can’t thank the Designer Workshop team enough for restoring this chair. Don’t be shy give them a try. You won’t be disappointed. They have the most unique and outstanding show room which just left me breathless with such an eclectic display of items and fantastic art work it’s just WOW!!

   Stumbled across Tan as I was looking for an upholsterer, gave him a call and he popped over and took my old second hand sofa away. Later that day we went to his workshop to choose fabrics once chosen Tan discussed what could be done and said all round the sofa would be hand studded, there were even two tipes of studs to choose! After a few weeks got a call to say it was ready and Tan and Samo delivered it, they put it in situ they I came down to look. Oh my goodness it was amazing. The detail that went into this sofa was absolutely amazing I can't thank Tan and his team enough. Not forgetting the foot stool. Yes would definitely recommend them.

   Great service from a local business. I used this company to reupholster 2 Ercol armchairs. Excellent service from start to finish. Advised regarding fabric choices and also had the opportunity to see the team at work and some of the other projects they’d undertaken. Turnaround time was much quicker than anticipated and the work carried out is A+ Would highly recommend.

   We were recommended this small upholstery company and are very pleased that we found them.They were able to supply beautiful materials and offered guidance about our choices. The settee's and chair they recovered are at least 35 years old and now look and feel as good as new.The details of the piping and the quality of the finish is superb.The company also made a brand new upholstered footstool following a photograph we supplied and we are delighted with it.Can definitely recommend this company for all your upholstery projects.

   Tan, Steve and his team were wonderful craftsmen and a delight to work with. They did an amazing job of re-covering our sofa, carefully matching the fabric with meticulous attention to detail. From discussing the job, to carefully taking away the sofa, and then returning it. They worked with the utmost care and we’re very professional in their approach. Highly recommended!

   I stumbled across Designer Workshop when I performed a Google search for Re-Upholsterers in Nottingham. The thing that attracted me to Designer Workshop was all the positive reviews they had already received. When you have a treasured piece of furniture, you want to know it will be in good reputable hands and cared for. I’m so pleased to say, that was definitely the case. From the moment I met Tan and Steve, I had no hesitation that they were the people I wanted to restore my Regency Sofa to its former glory. At their workshop, there were various pieces of furniture already reupholstered and restored and I could see the level of workmanship that had gone into the restorations. I got the impression that Steve, was a perfectionist where it came to his art. We consulted on the look I was hoping to achieve, and Steve came up with some fantastic ideas that blew me away. The restoration was completed in a timely manner and the outcome was absolutely amazing. It was truly a pleasure dealing with Tan and Steve from start to finish, its great to know craftsman still exist in a society where flat pack furniture is in abundance. Dawn

   I was lucky enough to discover Tan and his team of amazing craftsmen after seeing some work he'd completed for another client of theirs. Having acquired an old victorian Howard style chair complete with wobbly arms and tired upholstery, I knew this was a job for an experienced professional and Designer Workshop are certainly that and more. Not only are they all wonderful people, but also incredibly talented, knowledgeable and generous with their time. They're a credit to their industry and this shows with the clientele they work with.    Designer Workshop has very skilled craftspeople. I don't usually offer to do a review, but more people should know about this upholsterers in New Basford, Nottingham. The photos show how beautiful this job is - how they got the fabric horizantal and vertical in the right places, with accurate and well tensioned pleating and buttons, too.
