I didn't realise there's a proper butchers fresh meat counter in the back. And a post office too... plus they sell the good local milk I found the staff to be super helpful, decent humans, and they have time to converse.
Good place to shop and had a few amenities that other shops have. Although, I’ve had sub par experiences with staff around half the time I go there. The ATM inside the shop doesn’t work most times I go to the shop but the post office is a much better option for withdrawing money and doesn’t charge you for taking your money out. Not the worst experience I’ve had in a shop but could do better on the customer service front
Used the costa coffee machine in here and managed to get a free drink and it asked to scan at the till, I approached the chap behind the till older gentlemen with glasses and said I need to scan this for a free drink. In an abrupt tone he said “that doesn’t work here mate £3.39!” Absolutely rude as they come! I won’t be going there again! I imagine it’s not the first time this shop worker has most likely had a complaint put in! Don’t work in customer facing jobs if you’re going to be rude by nature!
Went to the shop around 6:30 in the evening to get to coffee for me and my partner, walked up to the coffee machine, and my partner grabbed a handful of sugars! (complimentary sachets of sugar) and as I walk off to grab something else in the shop, I hear one of the female staff members whisper under her breath to another staff member about how many sugars we had taken, so I explained to her that they are free sugars, and I could take as many need and then she proceeded to tell me “”who needs that many sugars in coffee”” Which is completely out of order, and she had no rights to say any of that to me!! Poor service and no respect Absolutely disappointing for a very convenient store!!
You need to update what services you provide. Also customer service is non existent Quite rude staff too. Only go inside now for the post office.

Drove there especially as they were open until 11pm.... until you get there and they shut at 10pm! It even stated the business had updated its opening hours 4 days before we went there. Don't waste your fuel, go somewhere else!
Actually cheerful staff. Spar prices and a good selection of items. Costa, butchers, post office and a subway all hidden within. A great asset to callington.
Rude and snotty women behind the counter provide the dreadful customer service I've come to expect from this spar. I feel sorry the one nice staff member, the male assistant manager is lovely. I've never met the manager, but I feel for him having to work with these awful women who clearly hate their job. I am a local and everytime I have been in this store I have witnessed them be rude to other members of the public and myself. I'd rather walk 15minutes up the street to Tesco than go in this Spar again.
