   I sold my apartment to a lovely first time buyer and Martine of McKeown’s was his solicitor. My experience with Martine, was a nightmare from start to finish.She simply refused to answer emails or return calls. After three months, she insisted that the management company that looked after my apartment “ didn’t exist”. When my solicitor, provided her with information that proved that it definitely did exist, she simply refused to partake in sensible conversations. She wasn’t interested in resolution, just conflict. She insisted that buying my apartment would “ be a risk” to her client. She refused to answer emails, she was rude to my estate agent and my solicitor. After 3 months we had to pull out and find another buyer with a different solicitor because the stress of dealing with Martine had started to take a toll on my health. My new sale went through absolutely no problem. All the “ concerns” that Martine, had raised, didn’t come up once. It was never in any doubt that my management company did in fact exist. Even her client, phoned my estate agent after we pulled out and begged us not to pull out, but the stress of dealing with Martine, had become too great and it put me under enormous stress. In the hope that this never happens to anyone again in the future, especially a first time buyer, I am reporting Martine, to the law society and hopefully they will hold her, and her shambolic behaviour to account.

   Many thanks to Diarmuid and team, in particular, Michelle Rock, for recent conveyancing work on sale of house. This was the first time I used McKeowns and I have to say it was the quickest house sale transaction I have ever had. McKeown's use IT to maximum benefit when dealing with the laborious paperwork process so everything was actioned online until final signing. Price was also extremely competitive with no excessive add on charges for small but essential transactions. Will use McKeowns again and would highly recommend.    The conveyancing team at McKeowns were extremely helpful in what turned out to be a long purchase process for me recently. Throughout the process, Sydney and the team kept me informed of status and kept fighting my corner to push for successful completion. At the very last moment an issue arose and Sydney made sure that I was protected from any further outlays and subsequently dealt with the issue. I had no experience of conveyancing before and thus understandably was quite unaware as to the requirements of client - however these were explained with clarity and made the expectations of each other work well. Great set up and lovely office as well.
