My Experience with Walton and Allen has been poor, I was a tenant in a property they managed for 4 year, they are inconsistent at best, negligent and criminal at worst. They evicted me using a section 21 with an open complaint that breached the housing act regulations and then have re-rented the property for more money. Standard practices it seems for these dodgy poorly regulated agents. They are terrible communicators, they don't talk to each other in the office leading you to repeat yourself multiple times and remind them to do their jobs. I have had issues with mould, broken windows, flooding bathrooms, water damage on walls and carpets. They agreed to do works on the property I lived in and then took months to do it and only did half the jobs agreed. Then try to blame the problems on you and take all your deposit. Brent Weighman and Joe Walton are incompetent. If you are a landlord who wants their property looked after, run away and find another estate agent. If you are a tenant unlucky enough to rent with them, record all communications, read the contract, brush up on your rights and hold them to account. Don't trust a single thing they say and chase them until they do their jobs.
Joe and Jay were great to deal with, constant updates, always chased when needed and made sure that the process and sale was smooth and seamless. They were always available via call and always messaged when necessary. Pleasure to deal with.
Extremely unprofessional and unhelpful throughout the process. Repeated failures to communicate, no sense of accountability, and a dismissive attitude towards basic queries. Easily my most unpleasant experience with an estate agent in Nottingham. Would strongly advise others to avoid.
The team at Walton and Allen have been excellent. Great advice from Joe Walton, help from Annie to get a few minor issues solved and Brent was efficient in getting his team to help with maintenance. With All this help my property let quickly. Very pleased, keep up the good work.
From the initial enquiry through to completion I could not have asked for better service. All the staff were enthusiastic, professional and always ready to help. Richard was particularly helpful in the early stages as he undertook most of the viewings. Marketing was really good and I was always kept informed. I've dealt with Walton and Allen for a number of years now, from buying and selling properties with them to contracting directly for them! When buying and selling properties through them, Joe and Richard are always extremely professional and keep you notified with any little changes, I always feel very well looked after with Walton and Allen. I wanted to thank Annie for her help on Tuesday. I had an ongoing maintenance issue that got sorted out on the same day I spoke to her, which took a big weight off my shoulders. I felt like she deserved some recognition for it, as it wouldn’t have been sorted as quickly as it was without her involvement, and it’s something I’d usually have to chase for updates about several times. It was refreshing to have someone take ownership of things and ensure they got dealt with! (The five stars are for Annie specifically)
