   My bathroom was installed by sykes in 2016. I am only getting around to reviewing it now for reasons that will become apparent. When the work was finished I was delighted at the overall look of the bathroom although it has to be said I was unhappy with parts of the silicone along the interface between the bath and the wall. I asked the salesman (brian) to send someone to re-do this part as it looked very messy. They sent back one of the original fitters (lawrence) to do that the next day. Two weeks ago I discovered water leaking through my kitchen ceiling. (The kitchen is directly below the bathroom). The plumber I called out took a while to locate where the leak was coming from but eventually located it in behind the taps in the bathroom. It was leaking through the silicone when the shower was switched on as it had become degraded over time. The plumber who worked on fixing this was quite critical about the way the silicone had been put down and said that if he had been installing the bathroom he would also have fitted an 'upstand' as an added protection to prevent leakage. The failure by the sykes fitters to do this will cost me £700 in total. It involved not just the plumbers fees but also the plasterers fee to reinstate the kitchen ceiling as the plumber had to cut a hole in it to access the pipes to inspect the leak. (the side of the bath is tilled so access through there was not possible).

   We recently purchased a new build home in Baronsgrange in Carryduff. Sykes fit all their bathrooms and yiu have the choice between Sykes and another company for kitchen. We went with Sykes for everything. The service they provided was excellent, personable but professional. We absolutely love our bathrooms, kitchen and tiles. Would 100% recommend. Thanks to Sharon, David and Brian for all their help designing our dream home.

   We phoned twice to arrange a visit and was promised a call back which did not happen. Finally, we phoned a third time and arranged an appointment. We walked through the design and selected the suite. We left and waited for the follow up with quote, that never arrived.

   A hidden gem in Belfast! Found this retailer by searching for a specific brand of bathroom vanity sink unit. Booked an appointment to view products. Great selection of products on display, well laid out and easy to navigate. Warm, friendly family business with very helpful staff. We were dealing with David who made our shopping experience easy. Quotes provided, stock availability explained. We also had a look around their new kitchen showroom which is on the upper floor. Looks excellent for those looking for a new kitchen! Bright, modern and well laid out. Parking directly outside in a shared carpark for the hub of businesses here. Easy to find in Dargan Ind Estate, just a few mins off the Fortwilliam Roundabout on the M2 foreshore. Highly recommend a visit here, it wont disappoint!
