   I was reluctant to write a review about our dogs most recent stay by telling myself that it was just one of those things that can happen. However, I saw the review where the dogs ear was torn and felt obliged to add my voice. We collected our dog at October half term 2025 and I was also encouraged to sign a waiver saying she was in good condition having only seen her for the time it took me to get her into the car. I thought it was a little odd as we have not been asked to do this in the past, but I understand that policies and procedures change and went along with it. We noticed the next morning that she had got fleas so I rang the kennels to warn them. The owner asked me to expect a call from him after he had been to check the dogs. He called me back after about 5 mins to say that there was a dog further down the run that was riddled with fleas and he did apologise for this. Upon reflection, I feel like this was probably not the case. I believe that bedding is probably just re-used and not washed or treated in between uses. I was not offered any sort of compensation and we have now spent around £90-100 on treatment for Poppy and our carpets. This does not include all the additional washing of bed clothes, cushion covers and her own bedding. Very disappointed.

   I recently used these dog kennels and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff were absolutely fantastic – friendly, professional, and genuinely caring towards the dogs. It was clear from the start that they have a real passion for what they do. My dog was well looked after throughout the stay, with plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. I could see how happy and relaxed they were, which gave excellent care, and happy, well-exercised dogs – everything you’d want when trusting someone else with your pet. We would fully recommend and will continue boarding my Border Collie Belle here when I need to.

   Have always used Fairways for looking after my dogs. This time, my dog wasn't well and they noticed straight away. I can't thank Brian and Odile enough for taking appropriate action to make sure my girl got the best care. They both love animals and are very professional, as are Emily and Sophie who work there. I don't have to worry about leaving my furry family member in their care. Thank you all.

   Could not recommend these Kennels enough. We have been using Fairway for 10 years and have never encountered a single problem. They are respectful of our pets, they always come back happy and healthy. They do have certain policies, no personal toys or bedding, fully understandable, they can clean their own stuff but not yours amd dogs can be destructive. Last thing you want if a fluffy bed being ripped apart & your dog choking on it. They send you photos if you ask, which is fantastic as we asked during the drop off and we did receive one of them happy and playful. But Remember they are busy so you may only get one or two. They never mix the pets with others, and only put them with pets from the same household giving us piece of mind that they are safe. If you take your own food that's why they feed them, take them treats which they will feed them as often as you ask them too. They spend a lot of time at drop off with you and then spend just as much time on the pick up so you can ask questions about their stay. None of the guys have ever rushed us out or been rude. If your looking for somewhere to board your Kennels, look no further! Keep up the good Work

2. The Tribe and I ★☆☆☆☆

   ⚠️ Gross pics ⚠️ We returned from holiday and picked up the dogs from Fairway Boarding Kennels on Tuesday. I noticed a little ‘mud’ on Sirius’ ear and thought nothing of it as he had mud in him last time he was there… well, turns out it wasn’t mud but dried blood and puss. According to the vets it happened over a week ago, he doesn’t feel it was a dog bite but caused by a sharp object. Well, £178 later with antibiotics, pain relief and manuka honey for the wound, I am distraught of the lack of care from the kennels. Makes sense why they were rushing us to put them in the car when we went to pick them up and asked me to sign a waiver to state that my dog was picked up in good health… no actually they weren’t in good health, they were painfully thin and injured and untreated!    My dogs were happy to be left at Fairway kennels and equally happy on collection 6 days later. If my dogs are not disstressed with no signs of trauma from being separated from their owners I am very happy too.

   We always send our dog to this Kennels and enjoy our holiday with complete assurance that he is well looked after. These people are true animal lovers and it’s lovely to see photographs shared of our dog on his ‘holiday’ there. If you are looking for a Kennel then make sure you book here well in advance because they are very popular.

   We take our 6 dogs to Fairway. Absolutely excellent kennels. Picked them all up yesterday after 13 days there. All in excellent condition and happy. Would never dream of taking ours anywhere else. Owned and run by a couple who care for others dogs as they do their own. Ace place.
