I’ve been going to this surgery since I was a baby no joke my whole flipping life and the service now from them is disgraceful! The amount of times I’ve tried to ring my surgery is ridiculous. I understand there could be some pressures however many said it wouldn’t be like this after Covid and it’s still woeful service! 3 years after surgeries could go back and forth with more patients and yet your lucky if you can get through on the phone nevermind into the surgery to see a doctor!! Was hard enough to get through to a gp to ask for help on the phone too! Many times I ring and finally get through to reception and then *click* calls then ended like someone had hung up on the other side of the phone! Keep in mind I’m 17 and very rarely have to ring the doctors! After 6 days of calling finally I did get through to a doctor.. Doctor went on and ranted on about this and that and said things that a 17 year old wouldn’t completely understand? And I could barely get a word through before he’d start going off again talking, very rushed as if I was taking up his a lot of his time, although the call lasted less that 10 minutes. A week later went to get bloods done and at 9am and I was the only person in the surgery patient wise. The place was like a ghost town and so empty! Not to mention the reception staff where no one was able to be seen! You would’ve thought then surgery wasn’t even open!!! However the receptionists were in the office behind, gossiping and talking while the phone was constantly ringing off the hook!!!!! While waiting all I heard was laughing and talking the whole 20 minutes I had to wait to be seen. Woeful especially for a doctors surgery.

This used to be a good doctor's practice, one where the patient’s well-being came first. Unfortunately in recent years it has declined terribly to the point where the cost of medication seems more important that anything else. I understand the NHS is under a lot of strain, but it's my impression the practice has a penny-pincher somewhere in their decision making chain who only cares about the bottom line. There is nothing worse than leaving a Doctor's surgery wondering whether you have been given the best medication, or some cheap substitute, or even worse, having been denied a treatment altogether you know is being received by patients not with this surgery. I’ve never not trusted a doctor before. Please think carefully and check for alternatives before joining this practice.

Receptionist has no comprehension. Told me I had to register with a gp in Wales whilst at uni as I was 'no longer a resident'. Made it seem like I was wasting their resources. I understand this is commonplace, but I require bloods to be taken annually, something requested by the Royal. How hard is it to fit me in for an appointment whilst I'm home for a week?

If the practice intends to continue long term with setting a time limit to ring for a callback from a GP, and restricting the number of daily callbacks available, then it might be an idea to upgrade the phone system to handle the volume & intensity of calls this restricted access inevitably generates, maybe some sort of queuing system so people aren’t just cut off. 126 call fails and repeated hits of the redial button just to get through today, I don’t know how older & more vulnerable patients can realistically be expected to cope with this. I’m sure it puts the reception staff under a lot of pressure too.

This surgery deserved recognition and an award for being so organized and efficient. Alan the practice manager is obviously very good at his job, and the doctors and nurses and superb and care about their patients. Nothing is ever too much trouble and easy to get an appointment if required. Thano

Doctor phoned me as part of a call back service and started by saying he was very busy and I shouldn't take up to much of his time.
