Kate from the breast screening team was exceptionally professional, and the receptionist was also very welcoming. Unfortunately, the staff member responsible for directing and informing patients whose name badge read “Frances” and who appeared to be in her late 50s or older was neither professional nor helpful. I was disappointed that I couldn’t speak to a manager about her behaviour, as I was told no manager was available that day. It was especially unfortunate because every other staff member I encountered was lovely, yet this one individual completely let the team down. Her attitude was obstructive, rude, and not suited to a role that requires meeting, greeting, and supporting patients. I’ve visited before and have always had positive experiences, but this time was dreadful. It’s unsettling that a place meant to feel safe and supportive for women could become so uncomfortable. I’ve shared my concerns with senior staff and truly hope no one else has to experience what I did.

Judith made the experience the best ever with her compassion, good listening skills & professionalism. However, the receptionist was a different matter - no smile, greeting, eye contact. In fact was rather cold & unfriendly, and told people to sit down (no please). Shocking customer service. Btw I have NEVER posted a negative review in my life, but this person has forced my hand.

Unfortunately it is only now I'm able to give feedback as I was left traumatised. My first visit tried to make conversation with the girl doing my mammogram obviously didn't want to talk. Recalled back girl this time was lovely, had to have ultrasound, biopsies and a marker put in by the doctor on that day, was told you will feel pressure but no pain, biopsies were fine but when the marker went in o boy I nearly fell off the bed and I was in excruciating pain I just got so upset. The doctor left the room with her patient in this state, the young HCA had to help me off the bed and when I left the room eventually the girl that did my mammogram saw I was in a shocked state. She was so lovely and the only one that offered me a drink of water. They reckoned it hit a nerve. The doctor came to see me in the waiting room not once did she ask me was I ok. I was in that waiting room with others dear knows what they were thinking seeing me in that state. I am thankful that my breast cancer was picked up at an early stage have had my surgery etc and no pain thankfully from that. It was the way I was treated that day not looking empathy but her duty of care that day went out the window. I'm glad I will be going to the hospital for my mammograms as I would just be reliving that visit that really did affect me

Suzanne, my radiographer, was absolutely amazing, realised I was very anxious immediately and went out of her way to put me at my ease. However the receptionist and nurse/hca on door (no idea as she never said) were abysmal. Their attitudes and manner are a disgrace and I honestly wanted to leave.

Forgot for sure the name of my nurse for my mammogram today. Mary I think, but she was so lovely and explained everything and put me right at ease. Lovely staff.

Shame about the woman at the door, once she lets you in she was unfriendly. She commands you to step on a spot to speak with the receptionist then the door woman informs you to step back to the front door where she then asks questions regarding covid. I felt uncomfortable and like a school child.
