   My grandaughters motor cycle jacket Zip broke, SPLR was recommended by someone who had his motorbike seat recovered, I got in touch, explaining my problem, sent a couple of pictures, he got back to me straight away, I arranged to take the jacket over, he recommended what to do , gave me a price, I left it with him. He did the job sent me some pictures showing the finished job , said its ready to pick up when I'm ready. Beautiful job , its nice to know there are still some skilled craftsmen still out there. I would recommend SPLR to anyone who needs a quality job , and trust with your project , professional and polite. Bang on .

   Jimmy has transformed my previously made to measure RST race leathers which were always a little too tight in the groin area but he knew just was was needed and has now given my leathers a good few more years of life.    James who runs SPLR, has replaced the zip on my Oxford motorcycle jacket, after I melted it on my hot exhaust. The quality of the wok is perfection and by all-accounts not an easy task. His attention to detail was exceptional. To add, James is genuinely a very nice guy. He completed the work faster than anticipated.    Jim carried out a repair on the arm of my alpinestars suit that had been badly damaged, making it look pretty much like new. He also proactively undertook some extra jobs on the suit after consulting with me, and also did a few unpaid extras like cleaning up some scuffs and abrasions.    Was recommended to Jimmy by my mate. What a great job he has done, really pleased with the service and the work done. When I took my leathers into him, Jimmy assessed the work and gave me a price. It was such a good price, I told him it seemed too cheap and it ought to be a bit more than that....so he added only an extra 20 quid ! When I need any more work doing on my leather clothing, I'll have no hesitation to go back to SPLR. Thank you Jimmy

   I found Jim online when searching for someone to repair two vintage leather bags, and reached out via his website’s contact form. He got in touch quickly and on receipt of photos gave an initial and very reasonable estimate, which proved to be correct when I delivered the bags to him. The bags have been excellently repaired and are good for years more service. Jim’s a craftsman and his repairs are both neat and strong. 10/10 recommended for all specialist leatherwork!
