I saw Dr Copplestone on 17th March 2025. I was very satisfied with the the diagnosis. She put me very much at ease, and I look forward to my next consultation.
Fantastic surgery, have never been registered at such a good practice before. Staff are all extremely helpful and friendly, have never had any problems contacting them to arranging an appointment.
I have recently moved to this Doctors surgery after having years of poor care at another surgery. I can not fault the care. It is the first time I have felt listened to, not rushed and genuinely recieved the care I should have years ago. Everyone is so welcoming, appointments are easy to get and the place is clean and accessible.
Amazing surgery. Really feel welcomed and taken seriously, never feeling like I'm wasting GPs time and always treated with courtesy and respect. Always get an appointment really easily and all the nurses, doctors, physiotherapist, and receptionists have been kind and efficient. Keep up the great work.
After flying in from New Zealand at the weekend, my wife developed a nasty chest infection. On arrival at West Hoe Surgery we were dealt with compassion and patience by the receptionist who went out of her way to get us an appointment that day, even though we weren't registered at the surgery. The doctor provided excellent advice and service. He put us at ease and quickly proscribed the medication required. All in all an excellent experience. Steve and Sharon
My husband and I have had excellent service from this surgery and recommended it to friends moving in to the area. The receptionists are pleasant and my husband has visited the nurse who was very thorough with his diabetic check. Dr Craig has always been helpful and supportive, we never feel rushed when visiting.
Terrible service as any NHS service, rude, disorganised, unprofessional, not properly medically trained, bad communication. Privatise the NHS I’m done paying taxes for this rubbish service
It was a good doctors. But bad record keeping now, when I rang a year ago to book an appointment they said I was no longer a patient. They had a different address for me which I had never lived. So I had to join the surgery as a new patient. Last week I rang to say I've moved address, they said I wasn't a patient anyway
We were only at this surgery for seven months due to having to move city's, signing up to it was great and the staff were lovely. I felt listened to in my appointments and the needs of myself my partner and our newborn were met and to a high standard. The main doctors involved with our care were Dr Copplestone and Dr Craig but All staff showed compassion and respect, such as nursing staff for immunisations. Thankyou to the whole team for your high quality service! It made me want to see to any physical and mental illnesses that may have arose promptly rather than waiting for things to get to breaking point which I have done in the past due to feeling judged by some staff at our previous surgery. This surgery's a module example for other GP surgeries.
I've been with this surgery for 13 years!! After 6 years of the same tablets, for the last 6months I have to call the surgery every 2 weeks to get a repeat prescription so I have to call the surgery. RECEPTIONIST A says.... we don't do repeat prescription over the phone go online!! I spent over an hour setting up an online account which says this surgery can't even do prescription requests yet, and call surgery AGAIN!! RECEPTIONIST B...sure ill sort this out now but its too late so will ready for you 2mo. Im sick of being messed around every 2 weeks!! I've gone 4 days AGAIN without my meds causing me mental health problems and not left the house for days because of my nerves because of this 1 RECEPTIONIST that is so rude and un helpful!! If the other lady answered i could of collected my meds TODAY like i have done for years but instead I waisted hour+ online for NOTHING!! Different people with different attitudes!!
Fantastic GP surgery! Doctors always phone back promptly and are extremely thorough and caring. I only wish I lived in the area so they could also be my GP Surgery
