1 star because there wasn’t an option for zero. I found a property on OpenRent and sent an inquiry. I attended a viewing and really liked the property. The estate agent made me aware that only one other person had viewed the property and didn't like it. Matt (the estate agent) said the quicker I could send my application, the sooner they could go through the affordability checks. He said, "we work on a first come, first served basis." Please tell me why this company requested all my personal information and bank statements, not just from myself but from my guarantor as well. I had to keep chasing this company until the guy I spoke to, Matt, said, "unfortunately, we have had a stronger application." I then said, "you told me you work on a 'first come, first served basis.'" He couldn't give me a straight answer and then mentioned another property that might suit me. This was more than three weeks ago, and he has not contacted me since. This is appalling behavior, not to mention unprofessional. Regardless of my age, I'm pretty sure there was discrimination involved.
