The receptionists alot of the time are rude and either hang up or just put you on hold. Trying to get an appointment is like trying to find gold. They are basically forcing you to got to a&e or ring 999 and put more pressure onth the nhs when they can deal with your request its a joke

I am so pleased with the care we receive for myself and my elderly mother and father. Nothing is too much trouble and health troubles are sorted with care and compassion,my family have been with this surgery all our life , l think some patients need to be more patient and understanding as more and more people need care

So oaktree have changed the repeat prescription process. So now I have to visit the surgery twice. I can't do online, as my 95yo father in law doesn't have an email address. Really disappointing. The old process worked great. Much better than our own surgery, which is Rosedean If you can't issue a prescription in time with 28 days notice, how are you going to do it with only 5 days notice?

    1) I had trouble breathing, coughing up blood and couldn't stand up, they insisted I had a virus, not a chest infection, told me to keep in bed at home, and that it would get worse before it got better. Ended up rushed to hospital with pneumonia. Hospital told me one more day and I would have died. Ended up in hospital for 3 weeks all because minor chest infection misdiagnosed. 2) Had a tiny abscess which needed short course of antibiotics. Phoned surgery, explained the urgency. Took another day for a phone call appointment with GP, and abscess grew. Took another couple of days after phone appointment for face to face appointment. Abscess grew. Attended GP appointment. GP Said abscess too big now for them to deal with, abscess grew. GP made hospital appointment for another 2 days time, abscess grew. Attended hospital appointment, they said it had grown so big I needed full theatre with general anaesthetic and theatre team to remove. No wonder NHS is broke ffs.

To the amazing receptionist, Julie, that was extremely professional and helpful, thank you for making my day. This surgery gets some bad reviews some times, but its that helpfulness and kindness that really makes someone feel like their being helped

On Tuesday, the 31st of January I Collect and paid for my prescription, on Wednesday night went to take my Medication, Citalopram for mental health issues and found I was prescribed/given the wrong medication. Thursday morning after nearly 1 hour, waiting to speak to the dispensary and told them they gave me the wrong medication, after a further 20 minute wait, when I went to collect the correct medication this time was told I have to pay for the prescription again!! I refused and the head dispenser/pharmacist and the practice manager, took me to a private room and basically said they wouldn’t give me the medication unless I paid for it again! as I didn’t check the contents before leaving the practice. So clearly, my fault not!! As you can imagine this did not go down well with me, I need my medication else I wouldn’t be on it would I! It seems to be some confusion about my online order and some order that was a paper order which actually is incorrect. The order that was placed in January was a telephone order for the one item the citalopram, I personally believe that the receptionist put down for the both items I would like the telephone conversation to be checked and confirmed what was said what ordered who’s fault is it? you’re supposed be a professional run doctor surgery. I was told by the doctor when prescribed this medication under new circumstances to just stop taking it, seems like the head pharmacist and practice manager seem to be more worried about the money than patients mental health care. So basically I feel like I was blackmailed to pay again. Absolutely disgusting!! It was also stated by the lead pharmacist /dispenser, that it’s clear on all NHS websites inc oak trees surgery website, I’ve never been on any nhs website, so Really, Good spouting off about policies etc etc how many people do you know read all the small print etc etc.? I will take this opportunity also my December prescription was wrong as well. Two lots of my tablets were in the bag. Luckily I had checked and told the receptionist that is incorrect My uncle was also at the surgery today, pharmacy/dispensary, have put all his medicine tablets in the mornings section rather splitting morning and evening, so today took all his tablets in one go for a heart condition and diabetes. When My step father collected his medication the beginning of January, there was two lots of his medication in the bag, he told the pharmacy reception, this was incorrect, was told must’ve been because he didn’t pick up is December tablets which he had collected. Maybe the head dispenser/pharmacist have spent more of his time sorting out his department, rather than strutting around like a peacock, more training, more staff mean how hard is it to put the correct tablets in the correct section. Bit of a joke really Patient care seems to completely gone out the window. It’s all about the money!! Wonder what past senior partners would think of it now I am sure heads would be rolling. This is now having a major detrimental effect on my mental health. Thank you very much.

Excellent service was seen the same day as call back then again following day for blood tests then phone call next day with result. The doctors were caring, thorough and listened to my concerns. Also receptionist was caring and very understanding when I made the initial phone call. Lots of praise and respect for all the staff at this surgery

Appalled at how my partner was spoken today by a receptionist. Based on other comments, which span across years, clearly some things need addressing.

Terrible service when collecting prescription. Genuinely never been spoke to like that in my life by a receptionist. Sometimes the information on a computer can have been inputted incorrectly. Maybe listen to patient/customer!! My prescription is on repeat & of course when I say I collected it last month & every month I’m telling the truth. I take it every day!! Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss further. Regards James

Certain members of staff have been extremely helpful and/or apologetic when mistakes are made, but my family and I have had constant issues with the dispensary since we joined the surgery in July. Every time we go to collect a prescription that was requested 5+ days before, we have had to wait for at least fifteen minutes before being called. Why it takes so long for them to receive a piece of paper, I do not know. This morning I waited for over thirty minutes for my name to be called and eventually went to the window to ask what was taking so long, and was told that they 'didn't know I was waiting'. Once I got home and opened the bag, I saw that they hadn't given me one of the items, and when I called the dispensary I got no answer. I had to call the receptionist to be put through, and was eventually told by the dispensary staff that they had received the request but someone had forgotten to put it through. Not helpful when I have no meds left. I understand that mistakes are made sometimes, but I don't appreciate it when I don't receive any kind of sincere apology.
